Besides, VALVe dictates time to Vivendi Universal. VALVe says "I can't get this done by my date", or "I'll make my date". Vivendi Universal are just French managers with lots of money.
Telling the media before valve? Unlikely.
This is probably some huge screwup that some PR guy slipped up on.Comment

Sweet, so it still may hit the 30th. If it does slip though I don't expect it to be past the Half-Life anniversary(which is only another month and a half of waiting and I'm fine with that).
Well nothing to get worried about yet. I'm still excited about this game whenever I start thinking about it. I'm just glad they didn't announce it a year ahead of time or I'd go insane.Comment

The game will come out when it comes out. And guess what 99% of you are still going to buy it even if it comes out a month or two late, so just STFU. The release date wouldn't be pushed back just for fun, they have a good reason whatever it may be. That is why they are Valve and you are the ignorant consumer. If it comes a little late, it is probably for our benefit anyway. Hell, I'll take it in spring '04 if it means that it will be squeaky clean with almost no bugs at all. Better than coming out tomorrow with the annual 2-times a week patch (like EA). Just settle down, it will come when it comes. Your whining will accomplish nothing.Comment
