Stop whining about the shield — It's actually useful now. If you want more balance, give T's the option to buy 2 HE grenades or add frag grenades and that would even it up real quick. Or just don't suck, and do what orphy does. Don't bitch about the buy rework either. You have 101+ keys on your keyboard, so use scripts you lazy bastards. Whaaaa! Me want mommy!

Seriously, the only bad thing about the shield was the easy exploits for it. If they fixed those, then no biggie. Invulnerable from front when actively deployed (and therefore unable to shoot back). That's how it should be. Also, when held to side, it should block fire still, bullets shouldn't go through it just cuz you don't have it deployed. However, holding it to your side makes for easy headshots from front from anyone who can aim.



Seriously, jump and shoot down, go around, grenade, or use *gasp* teamwork to flank (the last being my favorite).



I just wish grenades did more damage. Seriously, no matter how not-full-of-bullet-holes you are, if I chunk a grenade between your legs as you crouch in a corner, I expect you to die, not be a third wounded. Either get more grenades possible, or more damage. Something like 70 damage would be good for solitary grenades.



Now as far as the buy script goes, solve everyone's problems and make it a variable in userconfig.cfg. Blah. Solved. I personally prefer it this way, as my main buy script buys a primary and a deagle, but if I had already had a deagle, it'd waste money buying another (and on public servers, allies are too stupid to notice and pick it up anyway). So I like the addition as it is.

Why should you rely on scripts to buy weapons and ETC?

Use F1, F2, F3, F4 keys to buy weapons, ammo, equipments.

Then you will be able to order a pizza or even jerk off with a free hand while you're buying something in Counter-Strike. -_-

I think its funny how everyone first bitched about the shield being useless and all, and now that its fixed and does its job well they all bitch about how it works too well.



the Ts have a 2000 $ AK with 35 bullets now, stop complaining about things not being balanced. the shield just counters that.

It's ok to tell you now about the shield exploit. Someone told me on the steam forums a few days ago... (fastswitch must be on I think)



Buy shield (and a pistol maybe)

Switch to knife

Press mouse2 to put shield in front of you

then press 2 on your keyboard to switch to pistol



By doing that, you can't be shot from the front, even while shooting.



NOT ANYMORE THOUGH! YAY! nice one Valve... I might play 1.6b again now!
