WineX And VAC

Eric Smith has pushed a new round of VAC modules. They include new cheat detections, and finally, people using WineX can connect to secure servers, which is good news for all you Linux CS players (all three of you). As usual, the servers will restart automatically and you will be back to playing CS in no time. No word yet on the HLamp issue, but we'll keep you informed as news breaks.

We've updated the public security modules again. Your Counter-Strike and Day of Defeat servers should update themselves automatically.



These security modules have some new cheat detections and should fix the problems WineX clients have been experiencing.

And since I want to avoid rizzuh's evil ban hammer of doom, I will post something relevant: this move by valve is just another reason that VAC > C-D, imo. UA has too many compatibility issues, including users with WineX.



Hey, maybe UA could beg Valve for some code to support WineX.
