            and logged for more information

Btw, i cant belive he didnt mention ogc light, i emailed the guy and he said that "any program that hooks client.dll will be considered a cheat" in responce to a question aboubt ogc light... that kind of pisses me off since people that use ogc light might just like to listen to music, and will end up global banned.

I have a radio next to me that runs on two AA batteries and plays only FM. I won it. It works just fine. Doesn't eat up...um...system resources.

The whole cd key problem is going to get out of hand. And what happens when someone is banned on a secure server by an admin for "cheating"? I say cheating in brackets, because people will for sure abuse this.

If an admin bans then my guess it is only from that server and is not a global ban.

                      Uh...Sam.

                      1. The CD key situation is getting out of hand. Too many fakes.

                      2. Server admins can't add you to the blacklist. They can only ban you from their own server.

                      3. Those are "quotation marks".

heres what SHOULD happen to cheaters.

                        1. you hafta like give cs your home adress or something =p

                        2. if you get caught cheating people show up at your house and unplug your cable/dsl and you get jacked (unless you have 56k then you just get punched in the nuts)

                        3. pr1mo is voted president of the galaxy

Here's how I figure the system will differentiate between legit users of multiple cd keys and those changing cd keys due to being banned: Once you're on the blacklist, VAC logs your IP address and the CD Key you were using. Then, if it sees that IP address using a different CD Key, it gives them the boot as well. Still sketchy, I'm not really satisfied with the lack of detail we have on the subject.

Actually, that would still catch a few legitimate players.. for example, someone loses their cd key, buys/borrows a new one and replaces theirs..

I think it goes like this (or should): When someone is banned for using a cheat, it logs their ip and wonid. If they try to connect w/ the same ip, but different wonid, then it bans them again. Thats the only way i can think of it working, anyway. The only problem is that people can just change their ip address.

I agree with you though, they should explain just a little bit more what we can and cant do.

I think they should just shoot all the cheaters
