Wow. So the server DOES run VAC, but it's designed for cheaters to play on. Totally illogical.

Look for another way to point out that VAC is failing, even though it is has been incredibly successful.

I didn't said it's VACs problem. VALVe should do something against this, because the admins are using the same method to crack since 1.0.

Here we have many NoWON servers, I play on those sometimes, anti-cheats; HLG & VAC are working fine there too. They just have problems with banning players. Big cheating(except myg0t) clan members aren't playing on regular servers. They have clan wars etc.

Cheaters without a clan(more tham in the clans) are playing on NoWoN servers. VALVe should 'disable' nowon servers somehow.

Poor people are going to nowon servers too. Some countries (like here) a HL CD costs too much for many people, it's sad, they can't even buy a 4 year old game.. Or they are 14year old and just downloaded a rip of hl, and they don't care about ZkillZ or other wonid based rankings, and playing with more skilled players. The pros aren't playing on nowon.. :p

Btw, i cant belive he didnt mention ogc light, i emailed the guy and he said that "any program that hooks client.dll will be considered a cheat" in responce to a question aboubt ogc light... that kind of pisses me off since people that use ogc light might just like to listen to music, and will end up global banned.

OGC-light is a good add-on. Sadly it's a cheat, but it's not detected now. It have the best in-game IRC client ever.. Here's a shot. You can join up to 4 channel and send private msgs too. I don't suggest to use it, you can be banned for it any time :/

No, scripts aren't cheats. Theres some alias, and cvar, what shouldn't be changed. HLG is watching this.

Hmm, I'm predicting problems. We (my familie) got a bunch of computers hooked up in a hub and the hub connected to the I-net. Then we start playing (we have only one copy of CS-retail). But what then? Will we get banned? That would seriously suck (must we spend more bucks to play a game we already own?).



I also have HL, with a key. Could I use that one for CS-retail? (The keys legally mine, so why can't I use it?) Then me and one of my bro's can play online. But the other one can't.



I think this whole cd-key thing should be left out of the cheating part. It probably would ban more players who use the same key legitimaly then ones who use changers.



There are still a bunch of holes that need to be plugged.

Some scripts are in my eyes, like the no recoil script. I had a fight over with somebody under irc, he said something like it isnt a script (was an admin in #counterstrike) he said if it can be executed through the console it is not a cheat ( i thought wrong), i emailed cliffe and asked him, i asked him the question like is no recoil a script even if its only executed through the console, he said yes.

omg, why do you idiots keep on trying? obviosly theres always going to be cheating somehow. obviously cheaters will go as far as to replace windows files just to cheat. its just not possible to stop it. aimbot, well, its pretty much simple. anyway, even if Valve Also Cheats destroys ogc, which is infected with trojans now, there are still private hacks in the making...VAC cant even block oC..i mean, comon, how gay

I am using HLirc and I havent been caught. But even though it isnt a cheat, Vavle could be trying to prevent all avenues that could be used in the future to give players that 'edge' that all script kiddies seem to cant get enough of.

The people from OGC should stop making cheats and release some of the other stuff. Like the IRC thing or the in game winamp thing. Both great ideas. I think thats why 10 percent of the people use OGC, for the extra stuff.

if only the ogc people would make a deal with the VAC people to not touch ogc light... because that thing sounds badass, especially the irc client... we could just sit in our server and go in #findscrim and get some people using the ACTUAL OGC to come in... seems that |OUR SERVER| is cheater-bait lately... we even had sK| impersonators in our server, nevermind that theyre from EUROPE and had good pings...

oh yeah, what i was going to say... if you wanna control winamp, buy a logitech keyboard. they have all these programmable buttons at the top, with player controls, a mute button, and volume controls on it, plus 4 buttons that you can set to launch programs

ogc light\ogc hooks winamp, so yes it does come to mind, but you cant change songs or do a ton of the other crap with just winamp running cause youd have to minize cs, which loses sound.

I can..and I don't loose sound.

Good because i just downloaded Rizzuh's Cs Helper and Cs Configurator. Hey Rizzuh you should really update Cs Helper and make it so that you can put more then 1 bind on a key. Thats why i needed cs configurator.
