HLirc Version 1.0 Released

Disk2 has released version 1.0 of his new program, HLirc. HLirc is a small mIRC add-on which allows HL players to chat on IRC with other users, while playing CS or any other HL mod. For installation instructions, a screenshot, and more information, check out HLirc's official site.

Yup. It does the same thing HalfIRC did, only it works with Half-Life 1.1.1.0 and new versions of mIRC.

one tip add -dev to ur command line and u will be able to see everything that is typed in the irc channel in ur top left corner so u dont have to leave console open the whole time.



One question can u still use console the same way as b4 ie votemap 2 or admin_vote_kick ...... ???????

Adding -dev shouldn't allow you to view the chat text. It should just show the normal console text. You use HLirc by binding a key to "say". Then you press that key, type your messages/commands, then press ~ to raise the HLirc console. When you press ~ the normal console will appear. The normal console text isn't altered at all by HLirc. You can still use normal CS commands by typing them in the normal console, not the HLirc console.

Disk2, you rule... this is sweet. I just had one lil bug I encountered. I bound my "i" key to say. Then I went and pressed it, it worked. Everything tested out. I hit the ~ key but it didn't come out of the irc mode. So I hit it a couple more times and it worked on like the 5th try. Is this a bug or lag or something?
