I don't know if they updated their "cheat definitions" or whatever you want to call them, but they definitely just did a mass ban the other day. The steampowered.com forums are a mess with people claiming to be banned for no reason.

havnt been to steampowered forums for months. same old whiny teens. must say they were good forums before EVERYONE migrated over to them and started whining. one day i will return and add to my 2k+ post count :) im mainly there just to help out people with genuine problems - not those that "want higher fps" or "omg steam bs" posts.

Yeah, I only go there to search for posts by cliffe and Waldo. I gave up on posting a long time ago.

you are missing the 1.5 servers which can only rely on CD, as VAC has been shut down for all those 1.5 servers still working.

I wouldn't say I've been missing them, per se =)



CS 1.5 is pretty irrelevant.



Edit: I do concede that you raise a good point: CD is probably a great alternative for those mods that don't currently have VAC support.

As far as VALVE is concerned, vac is doing fine. They'll never change it drastically unless there is a huge flaw of some sort.
