    CPL: Day 4 matches

SK.sca beat GoL (13-9) in the match to determine the winner, after GoL dominated SK (13-1) to push the finals into a second match-up. Demos here![break="Click through!"]Brackets.

    As the standings are...

1st Place - Schroet Kommando Scandinavia

    2nd Place - Game onLine

    3rd Place - eSports United

4th Place - Domain of Pain

5th Place - The Speakeasy Offensive

    6th Place - Infinity eSports

    7th Place - Gamers X

    8th Place - RiotSquad

The rest of the standings from here aren't specific, but given some teams put on better shows than others, I'm going to rank a couple on my own-

    9th Place (Sub's opinion) - SpaceBar

    10th Place (Sub's opinion) - mTw

    11th Place (Sub's opinion) - WeekEnd Warriors

12th Place (Sub's opinion) - Texas Area Untouchables

Quick thoughts on this CPL - every round, teams should be reseeded instead of just straight bracketing. Sure, it may take a bit longer, but it will ensure that the better teams don't meet so early, as to ensure excellent teams a chance to prove themself when it really counts. Having top teams face early and one be eliminated is stupid on so many levels. My only other gripe is that I believe with the amount of excellent official CS maps to play matches on, I think it's time the CPL does away with custom maps for matches; sure, one can argue that the europeans could learn the map, but given that the maps aren't played where they live it's a little difficult to find scrim partners or get practice on them. With that being said, I'm sure a few teams might have lasted longer if reseeding every round had occured and no custom maps. Whatever; see you in the Winter for the World Championships! I'm going to take a much-needed break after 4 straight days of CPL coverage on my part.

    CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH - de_nuke:

Game onLine over Schroet Kommando Scandinavia 13-1

Schroet Kommando Scandinavia over Game onLine 13-9 - SK is the champions!

POSTMATCH - Demos of the match here.

    Upper Bracket Winners:

    SK over eSu 13-2

    Lower Bracket Finals:

GoL over eSu 16-13 in Overtime

GoL will now head on to the championship match to face SK, where they must defeat SK twice to take the win.

    Match to determine 5th Place - de_train:

    TSO over Infinity eSports 13-7

    Match to determine 7th Place - de_train:

    GX over RiotSquad 13-1

If GoL makes it into the finals, it's going to be a very NiP-looking affair .

get in the hltv ips now is all i can say, as the matches always start at weird times and you need to be in hltv early to get a spot - this is gonna be PACKED.

                WTF?

You're seriously picking GoL over SK?

1st of all SK = unstoppable, undefeated so far.

2nd of all SK = owns at Nuke ie; Heaton at last CPL vs X3?

3rd of all SK = needs to lose twice if GoL is gonna win.

Bad prediction, but i guess we will see soon enough

not a bad prediction, just a risky one.

I'll have to agree with that statement. I like to think that teamwork pays off at the CPL, but SK so far has seemed unstoppable. They took down eSu 13-2 and GOL had to go to overtime to beat eSu. Plus, like the fellow said, SK should be very well-suited for de_nuke at the CPL finals and has to beaten twice. I don't see that happening. I'll have to give mad props to you if you're right though, Sublyme :).

Holy cow. I was just watching the match before it lagged out and I got to watch GoL on CT's. GoL pushed SK over a table and started raping them. My god GoL is destroying. I saw some of the T side too and GoL was doing good(won the pistol round).

Well that was a hell of a game, and great fucking job by SK to come back from the first game.

Congrats to GoL for defeating SK first game and putting up an awesome fight in second game.
