Sorry Rizzuh. In my post I was assuming that the author did not have their products copyrighted.

And then there is the moral issue.

PI am morally aposed to someone charging for my FREE model.. or perhaps I am morally aposed to it being sold on the same cd that contains hardcore pornography.

I don't take any chances with my models, even though they suck. I'm paranoid now, because of Game conTusion.

I totally agree, although I don't think they're on the same CD. This is like finding out Fisher-Price also makes toys and vibrators in the same factory.

Now that's a wise move Dice. Did you have to pay a fee to have your models copyrighted[question mark]

Btw, can someone recommend me a keyboard. My current one is malfunctioning, 15 buttons don't work.

How do I make a Copyright symbol?

And May GaysFusion die a slow death.

I enjoy my Logitech wireless one, Kaos. Signal is very strong, I can walk around with it, and it's easy on batteries. The one I bought came with a nice mouse that lasted for a very long time, and I'll vouch for its value. To answer your question, I'm not really sure what exactly you do to copyright things, but I just brand everything with the c & circle to scare away anyone crazy enough to call my bluff. It's pretty much a 'I thought of it first, you didn't' thing.

                  1. There's probably an obscure keyboard shortcut involving Alt to do this, but I go to Start Menu > Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Character Map. Find your character, click on it, click 'Select', and then 'Copy' to copy it to the clipboard. Follow your standard pasting procedures (Ctrl + V) from there.

                  2. Amen.

Good thing I don't have a character map ... *grumbles*

                    GamesFusion has pr0n. CSNation doesn't.

My brain cannot compute how CSNation is better then GamesFusion.

Well this is a duzy... I feel that if you are really selling gold passes you are not responsible for the copyrighted material..

                      Well thats my idea

Copyright is implicit. I assume that Games Fusion is based in North America, which means that they are violating the model author's copyright and IP rights. They do not have to file with an sort of office.

Copyright law is very easy to deal with until a major company files against you[r will], then you have to prove prior use. All CS-Nation content is copyrighted because it is on our website. The thoughts, facts, ideas, and everything else expressed in articles and other content falls under our IP.

Basically, it still is the model author's property and they have a legal right to demand that it be removed from Games Fusion packs. Just as mod authors can, and do, demand that we remove offending SOTDs.

The modelers can easily find a cheap attorney (one who plays CS possibly) to fire a Cease and Desist at Games Fusion. They have no methods or money to contest it. If it were to end up in court, it would be an easier victory with some sort of license agreement supplied with the model's .zip, but the modelers would probably win anyway.

why don't we get a paying member to download the pack, find the models present in the pack from other places and recreate the pack with a different name? Perhaps this time we'll ask the authors fo their permission.

With file planet you don't have to pay to get the file, just to get the file without waiting in line.

Thx for the keyboard info -Dice. I'll go and check it out.

Btw, I'm not sure if a copyright is truly necessary. If you design something you should copyright/patent it. But this is only an official way to protect yourself. If you invented/designed/created something and didn't patent/register it and someone stole your creation all you have to do is prove that you were the original creator. But I'm not fully certain.

Is that why the "Greenday Punk" player model was removed? :P

Or was it just that f***ing bad?
