New one coming out this month...also how can you say they abandon their games? They are still supporting Starcraft and WarCraft 2. Supporting a game doesn't necessarily mean patches every month.

When I mean long overdue, I mean over 8 months. There are multiple problems that should have been resolved earlier.

Zimzap, the engine is already outdated by QIII. A 1999 release I think. Unreal also topped it.

Yes and look at how popular unreal and quake 3 are in comparison to CS and Half-life. Too bad good engines don't really count a great deal when you have very high standards of gameplay.

narby is right. We dont just need a new engine. We need an engine which will yeild great gameplay and also have good features which will help community. I dont know much about this GUI2 but I hear that it is suposed to be good. I like cs but certain aspects such as the false recoil and the problem in some spots where you can not see your oponent at all yet he can almost see your complete body and half of your head or your whole head. This is proven and occurs in many locations on maps.



I read in an interview about how the CPL is(or wants to) making a game which is more dependant on skill and less random. I even think some of the newer maps in cs are more skillfull which Im happy to see. Maps like dust are noob because you have 2 bottle necks where you know the opossing team has to come.

by the time cs:cz comes out the engine will already be soooo outdated nobody will buy the shit and they'll have to remake the game w/ a new engine that will be CS2 so in conclusion cs:cz becomes CS2 and CS2 becomes CS3. understand? i didn't think so
