Hey guys. Just wanted to say if you want to play the REAL cs Classic, go to www.langames.net or contact me on icq (Renegade[CSR]) and I'll send you either beta 1 or beta 5.2.



I highly recommend downloading 5.2, and the glock sound in beta 1 is unbeatable. If you want to play the real cs classic, play 5.2, it brings back the old excitement that cs used to give you, and is loads of fun.



Guys, the real cs classic is right at your doorstep, go get it!



The one thing, to get these to work you must do a reinstall of half-life straight from the cd into a new folder(Sierra/Half-Life 2) which WONT overwrite the current Half-Life you have. Once you reinstall half-life into that folder DO NOT UPDATE ANYTHING. Just leave it as is, and all the mods will work as long as you install them in that folder (ex. Half-life 2) and run half-life from there.



Omg cs was once not dependant on valve updating half life, who would've thought?!

Shifty eyes, you forgot cs_bombshelter where you can throw a he nade on the outside of the shelter and kill a hostage on the inside. I'd like to see body armor make it so it takes more ASSAULT RIFLE shots to the chest to kill somebody with real damage. People should never argue CS has even semi-realistic damage. You don't die from a HE nade, it takes at least two just like QIII.

edit: Also, think of this: Many people who do well in pubs are not CAL-i level players. They have clans, and they don't want to do bad and then make their clan look bad. How many times have you seen some one playing with the nick "X3|-Miller" or "3D.da bears" or something to that effect? Many admins will ban/kick these players who are "impersonating" good players. Also many people ask "omg is it really you?" "is that him??" "yo kyle dude that you?" and such. Pro players may also get called impersonators/newbies/wannabes etc. They'd rather just use some random alias then deal with it all. It may seem trivial too you, but when it happens in every single pub you go to...

I used the term "professional" mockingly. I think it's a silly term to describe someone who plays a lot of video games.



As for someone making their clan look bad in a server, well that's just retarded. When was the last time some guy did poorly and you said to yourself, "Man, that clan blows. What a dork! Silly mortal." Anyone who cares THAT much about how they look is completely obsessed. It's supposed to be about fun, not about kill-death ratio.



Having people ask you questions is hardly bothersome. Narby and rizzuh get recognized every time we play, and they never express discontent with it. It's not like people can ask for an autograph. Being "famous" comes with certain responsibilities. I guess having to say "yes, it's me" during the game is a hard thing to do (no one ever said they had to acknowledge it in the first place). I dislike aliases for many reasons, but I realize no one's going to listen to me. It's just really annoying when people DO use them and then bitch when they get kicked for "cheating." Not all admins give the benefit of the doubt and none of them are Ms. Cleo.

I agree that CS Classic is not nearly as good as it could/should be, but I think it's great for those who hate CS 1.4+.



Anyway, the review was not too informative, and was mostly just rizzuh being a dick about everything for no reason. (So, what else is new?) Yep, good ol' CS-Nation...

Well in my feelings CS has evolved to a nice game, BHing was just BSing, so I am glad it was taken away. I myself did use the Bunny Hopping from time to time, but I never really liked it, I felt it ruined the game.



Now what I don't get is when did the Hostages get HEART? They don't listen to me when I point a Gun to their head, of course this is if I am a Terroist. They are Hostages, what are Hostages suppose to do? Listen to the Guy with the GUN right? As far as I am concerned cs 1.5 is the best yet, finally CS is enjoyable. But sadly enough I played it for too long, so now I am not as fond at it as I use to be, but still I would rather play cs 1.5 then the older versions.



Yes I did try CS Classic, I was like omg, boring. I told the people in the Server how I felt. I said, "Man I would rather play cs 1.5, and they said, "This Game is way better then cs 1.5, your just a n00b." Then I asked em why do you like CS Classic, they all said, "Cause I can Bunny Hop like a Rabbit all the way to the Finish Line." Yes very fun to BH around. *NOT*
