    CALi Week 4 Game 2 Predictions

    DoP plays 3D again tonight. Should be a semi-decent match, but I'm not thinking there will be any suprises. Some other matches that look equal in talent, though. Tune in to the HLTV ip's tonight (hopefully we can get some in the comments and transfer them over to the main news).

    week 4 | game 2

    map: de_cbble

    Short predictions:

    Gamers-X -over- Team Rival :: (16-8)

    Simply Wicked -over- Digitally Xtreme :: (15-9)

    The Short Yellow Bus -over- [TEC] :: (14-10)

    The Speakeasy Offensive -over- WeekEnd Warriors :: (18-6)

    3D -over- Domain of Pain :: (16-8)

    Team Stomping Grounds -over- Reality Check :: (15-9)

    Darkside -over- ExS :: (14-10)

    Texas Area Untouchables -over- Clan Killers 3 :: (15-9)

    [Riot-Squad] -over- Rj45 :: (20-4)

    nocturnal e game -over- The unknown Factor :: (13-11)

    The Second Coming -over- Issues With Authority :: (17-7)

    SteelBreeze -over- Pinnacle :: (14-10)

    zEx| -over- Echo 7 :: (15-9)

    Forfeits:

    eminence -over- Team Solid - They've forfeitted a few lately after one of their players finally admitted to cheating in an RGL-e playoff match against DoP.

    Click through for full predictions![break]Pre-Game Predictions:

    Gamers-X -over- Team Rival :: (16-8) - Team Rival just got a pair of big wins as the newly admitted team to CAL-i. It's not going to matter much, though, as a star-studded cast shows them what cbble is all about. Gamers-X impresses me with their coverage more than anything else, and as wide as the CT's will have to play the map tonight, that's going to be worth the spoils of victory.

    Simply Wicked -over- Digitally Xtreme :: (15-9) - Simply Wicked is a team putting their time in and best face forward lately. They've lost a few tough west coast match-ups, but Digitally Extreme shouldn't be any trouble tonight. Their a new clan and as such they have played less games and haven't won any of them yet. If DX wants this one, their going to need a pile of luck that I'm guessing they won't have.

    The Short Yellow Bus -over- [TEC] :: (14-10) - Now I know TEC is going to jump me in the comments for predicting they will lose since their site explicitly points out how they beat SYB back in april of 2001, but I really don't think they'll have it tonight. They aren't wining the rounds they need and that was recently shown against Team Rival. SYB, on the other hand, has had over 14 months of preperation for this rematch (lol) and they're the bigger competitor in this scenario.

    The Speakeasy Offensive -over- WeekEnd Warriors :: (18-6) - TSO, zEx, and 3D are the remaining teams holding the coveted "undefeated" title this season, and WEW shouldn't be too big of an obstacle to carry that egg through. TSO has never stopped impressing us since their huge streak (undefeated) and title of CAL-i Champion last season. WEW has come out swinging this season, but they seem to be winning matches sporatically, and against this other big west coast crowd, it's probably going to be a futile game for them tonight.

    3D -over- Domain of Pain :: (16-8) - 3D beat them earlier this season, and DoP isn't what they used to be. They are undefeated this season aside from that one match against 3D, but I don't think they'll be making up for it tonight. They recently lost an RGL-e match against zEx by quite a margin, and that just goes to support my theory that their faces will be left with a fresh layer of skin exposed tonight against 3D.

    Team Stomping Grounds -over- Reality Check :: (15-9) - TSG has been winning bouts in spurts this season, and though their last one was a loss, Reality Check is a ziploc bag full of newbies, and TSG holds the baseball bat. (Think about it, a ziploc bag vs a baseball bat!? That's redefining "bledgeon" as far as I'm concerned.)

    Darkside -over- ExS :: (14-10) - Darkside SHOULD be heading into this as undefeated, but they lost to power (it was power's first ever CAL-i match) and are forced to hang their heads for the rest of the week. Really, it's just going to be Darkside lashing out against ExS tonight. No huuuge win, but Darkside is good and ExS is one of those middle-of-the-road groups.

    Texas Area Untouchables -over- Clan Killers 3 :: (15-9) - CK3 really hasn't done much lately. With three wins and four losses, they've gone from what they used to be (anyone here remember DoP-League?), to a middle-of-the-road team with a whole bunch of players that are active in the community. TAU had a spat of bad losses a while ago, but I think they'll get back on track where they belong tonight. They play great strategies and de_cbble is one of those maps where it matters.

    [Riot-Squad] -over- Rj45 :: (20-4) - Rj45's parents will be standing by with 911 on the speed dial.

    Power -over- PLAYBOY :: (13-11) - Here's a tough one to call. Power has only played one match, which makes their skill tough to gauge, but they beat D|S on Monday, and PLAYBOY shouldn't be a huge stone if they can accomplish that. Good luck to the brotha's (and the white guy), but power might have the upper hand here. Potentially a great match.

    nocturnal e game -over- The unknown Factor :: (13-11) - neg over TuF. I almost had a hard time figuring this one out too. It's a difficult prediction to make, because both teams seem to win and lose to the same people (someone is going to get nitty gritty on me here, I can just feel it), but neg has had some important wins lately and may be able to start their name by taking over a few more westies beginning with tonight.

    The Second Coming -over- Issues With Authority :: (17-7) - TSC has yet to win, but I'm predicting a huge turnaround tonight. No big name changes or anything like that, just a team that should be easy to beat. IWA used to be a consistently difficult competitor, but has since seemingly sunk into... well... they aren't that anymore. They've got two wins this season compared to TSC's zero, but TSC has got to start something, and even compared to some of these new CAL-i clans, iwa seems like the place to get the ball rolling. (IWA, not iowa... it's boring here)

    FirstWave -over- Total Annihilation Factor :: (16-8) - TAF's only win this season has been Echo 7, and that list isn't going to grow tonight. Firstwave runs around this league like a farmer facing sheep with a flaming scythe. They've lost only to zEx, and seeing how zEx is playing this season, that's to be expected. Firstwave is really getting big. Tonight they just add one more notch on the barrel.

    SteelBreeze -over- Pinnacle :: (14-10) - Pinnacle beat TAF in their first game and then went on a six game losing streak. Steelbreeze has lost only to zEx and 1st~. They should win by more than four, but my thought is that Pinnacle might put up a moderately decent fight as they did against SB earlier this season (it came out 14-10 then as well).

    zEx| -over- Echo 7 :: (15-9) - zEx hasn't lost yet. This is impressive considering i used to think they weren't much of anything. I'm almost half tempted to root for the, even. Could get interesting, but no... zEx is going to walk away with blood on their Adidas.

      That really confused me. Why is the topic called "Wrap-Up" when it's a set of predictions?

            I also wish a swarm of 404's and a plague of fatal Kernel32.dll exceptions up on 3D. De_cbble is also a poor excuse for a map. Maybe if it had something more, say, windows that you can see into from the courtyard, without having to buy NVG or turn your gamma waaaaay up. Hell, I'd settle for an 'o' in the name.

                    dust2 is a good map, but overplayed. I find cbble to be a relatively fast paced map, and I like it. It's terrible for pubs because of the T tower. Let's have 3 newbies camp there with P90's! We can snipe them and the time will never run out even when the only CT alive is AFK! Woo-Hoo!

                      the map sucks and CAli is gay.

                      all matches should be played on fy_iceworld. no windows, no doors, no bombs, no hostages, no bullshit and no place to hide.
