the sound works perffectly but i couldn't use the microphone.. it appers disable and when the others players use the mic i hear just a noise !!!

This is really pissing me off. Apparently, all servers are running a "Different Protocol Version". I've tried...oh....30 servers? None work. I can't playtest Natural Selection becuase this thing is f'ed up. I can't play CS, Ric, DoD, FA, FLF...anything. Now wtf?

Have reloaded 4 times and still can't get game to play, I even removed old versions and started over, and still can't get game to come up, have tried all the corrections, but nothing seems to work, Now I have version 1.000, and a copy of 1.5 but still no game, anyone got help, call or write. bbarrick3@insightbb.com

man, BBarick, sounds like you got one helluva problem there. Sucks ass... maybe you should delete everything and reinstall/redownload everything from scratch?

CS 1.6 is NOT going to be Steam released only. It will go through the Steam system, but you can still buy it retail, and you will still be able to play offline and on the LAN, no matter how you get it. Only online games will have to be authenticated through Steam. How many more times must this be posted? Sheesh... :)



As far as those having errors, most of the time yeah, this is caused by a bad download. 1.5 hasn't been out long enough for me to know whether there's additional bugs in there messing things up, but most of the time it tends to be just a bad download. So... try getting it from a different site, and when you're done, run an md5 checksum on the file, and make sure it's the same as the checksum of the file on the server (I'd recommend d/ling from a server that does list the correct checksums). Beyond that, there may be some unknown bug with some systems, there are often firewall issues if you're behind one of those (make sure 27005, 27012, and 27015 are open for UDP), and any number of other configuration problems. All I can say at the moment is good luck to you getting it working.



Oh, and of course, try connecting to some servers that specifically say 1.5 in their title, just to make sure you're not hitting old 1.4 servers still, heh. :)

I dont know if anyone has mentioned this yet but my friend is having trouble with cs....Whenever he clicks on Play cs, his cs will just freeze and he will have to exit....1.3 worked fine but this problem has been with him since 1.4....The best thing i could think of was a good old case of CRAP video card....I can't tell you what kind it is becuase it's made in Germany or something but if u know wuts wrong plz tell me....It hurts to be alone :'(

this is amazing no clipping and there really is a anim for the shells, only thing I don't really like is that its a bit too centered for my taste but since its so good I still give a 10.

This is an Excelent gun model, more models should have ejecting shells like that, i've seen no clipping and the skin is just perfect
