Xios launches clan service

I have been using the Xiosgaming program since its first beta test and it has only gotten better. If ur not a big time programmer or dont know much about website creating then this is the perfect program for you. Its cheap, versatile, and extremely easy to use. It kills me to see some of u ppl pass judgement on a program u havent even tried yet. These guys are constantly working everyday and night just to improve on thier program and by all means THEY ARE NOT DONE, not even close my friends. They have big plans for Xios and im gonna be here to see this wonderful creation. Its only goin go get bigger and better my friends u will see. The end of this creation WILL be amazing.

Comparing PHP to Java is like comparing a Mack truck to an airplane. Both things get stuff around, but they obviously have their niches. PHP isn't, in general, acting like a Perl--it's not trying to do everything. Perl is. You're not going to airmail a bag of rice to someone who is 50 miles away, but you might use UPS ground.



I don't know Java, but I'm strong in C++ (with classes), PHP, and Perl. I could learn it if I had the will or need to, but I'd probably still prefer PHP. I think I'm so fond of PHP because it just makes my site so much better, with a one-time effort. My coding is on-going, but I don't have to worry about the same formatting for every article and what-not. If I want to make a big change to the site, it'll most likely make me re-code a couple functions and not a few hundred HTML pages.



Of course we're judging the product before we use it. To use it, we'd have to pay money. You sell the products based on their merits, not on "we have this product, please just trust our hype and buy it." Indeed, Xios may be a good service over-all.



On the otherhand, you can't even link to clan rosters.

Jamone, Rizzuh! PHP is just SO damn easy and makes webdesigning SO much easier. I'm not even sure why xios talks about using J2EE. It doesn't really make the site better or worse.

Xios has some bugs, and yes it's probably not worth it to pay for something you can get for free. But i don't know why you hate PHP/Post Nuke (and other portals). It's true they don't come with everything you need for a clan but with a little php/mysql knowledge you can easily make some nice stuff out of them. And not to mention they save you from a lot of work by coming with some predefined scripts that you don't have to code. And you can always modify the way URLs look so people won't know you're running a nuked site.
