theres only one reason i suck-- my ping never gets lower than 250, the only time i do well is when everyone else has high pings. Sounds like a crap excuse but it aint, I aim at ppl 5 meters away and hit air, also ppl flash on my screen so I cant pop round corners and shoot ppl. The only way i can hit ppl is if they are standing still or moving towards me or at pointblank range.

Great article. I unfortunately totally relate to this. Now, I'm not the average hardcore been-playing-CS-14-hours-a-day-since-Beta-1.0-play
er, but I have been playing on and off since then and had my moments of non-suckitude (very few and far between :P). However, the more people that play, the higher the percentage of people who seem to know what the hell they're doing get into the game. I find myself making all the stupid little mistakes l used to do initially, like going full auto-instead of bursting with a rifle. :\ Since they stopped releasing betas within like 3 months of each other, my interest in CS wained and I played on and off, and sort of just sucked most of the time.



I can play decently if I get a few maps of warmup, but for some reason I start playing fresh like a quadriplegic with a broken trackball. Ah well, again great article.

It must be sad to suck so hard. I have always been good at all games so i dont know the feeling :). And I also hate all 12-yeared old boys that sound like elves, but at least I kick their asses in cs.

Really anyone that has been playing for a week with decent hardware and ping under 90 shouldnt suck. really it's 80% a mind game cs is. people that arent good do things like 5 on 1 run at 5 people in the open with an mp5 , someone that is good will drop his mp5 pick up a colt from his fallen comrade and take the enemy out one by one without letting all 5 see yu at once and taking it slow its all a mind game try watching demos of good players to get better yu dont have to be highly skilled only smarter, and play with low sens,and headphones.

maybe it's because of new jump thing in CS 1.4? I also deprove in CS 1.4... I was very good player in CS 1.0 to 1.3. New jump in CS 1.4 gives disadvantages to old players because sometimes I got killed by a few newbies easily in CS 1.4. All old players always jump to avoid bullets.
