This is the very 1st time I have ever heard this stuff from you. So don't act like I can read you mind dip shit, because I can't, and neither can anyone else but you. This just proves the problem, people are too concerned with ass kissing that they don't communicate what could make CS better.
First. Interesting how you ask others not to flame and yet flame me at the same time. That is unless calling me the wealth of interesting adjectives such as you used above no longer qulifies as flaming.

Second. Perhaps you don't realize this, but if you want to get in contact with the CS team, the comments section under various headlines at CS-Nation isn't the place you go putting your ideas. I was simply showing you what I (and others) have submitted to people who actually do have something to do with the development of CS. Last time I checked, "GonePostal" wasn't on the dev team. If this changes, let me know, and I'd be happy to send you my comments. Otherwise, I have no reason whatsoever to go around shouting my opinions to you, when you knowing them has absolutely no impact on the game.

You said the CS Team and Valve needed constructive feedback. I in response illustrated some of the feedback they have gotten. Don't be so utterly surprised that you were not "in the know" on some of these issues. There's a lot of other places where people communicate about Counter-Strike, in case you haven't noticed.

I try to be as polite as I can make myself be, but really... some people just push things a lot. If you are going to beat others with the no flaming! stick, make sure you're not doing it yourself, eh? And for crying out loud, GonePostal, get off rizzuh's back already. He's entitled to his own opinion without people like you coming and acting like jerks toward him on his own site. He's shown you much more patience in not banning you than I ever would if I owned this site. How does it go... "don't bite the hand that feeds you."

Now in deep fear of being shot by all members of the CS community could I kindly ask for de_dust to be removed or changed? Why? because its overplayed and the CT's wins by default, unless newbees or aimbots are around.
ALL members? No, only around half. Dust is quite remarkable in that its the most popular and most hated of all the official maps.

I can't see Dust going. I would ask, but it wouldn't be removed. I coult beg for it to be removed, and it would stay. The thing is - if you want to make a game better, you don't remove the popular elements. Dust is a popular element, and therefore won't go.

Remember CS is a commercial game now and hence is meant to take in some money - it's not business sense to take away an element such as Dust.

And besides, if Dust was removed, the chances are most people would still keep the BSP and servers would still include it in their rotation - official or not.

Just to go off-topic - anyone else think 'CS Team' is a bit inappropriate seeing as it is less of a team and more a group of contributers? The people who consider improvements are the game designers, primarily Minh and (on the side) Cliffe - although most likely a few Valve folk have quite a say in this too.

The focus implied by 'CS Team' is therefore not obvious - it encompasses more those who have no CS material in the game and fewer of those who have contributed to it in the past.

i do agree that cs dosent promote teamplay enough, when you play its easy for anyone to forget the team and just look at the scoreboard, perhaps some minor changes could be done for ex:

when the bomb is planted and the whole t team is killed, the round wouldnt end untill the bomb is either defused or blows up

when the bomb is planted the round continues until it detonates, is defused, or all the cts are killed. the all ts are killed victory condition is disabled for the round after the bomb is planted

"An object in motion tends to stay in motion. An object ar res ttends to stay at rest..." When you jump, regardless of the stuff your carrying, the motion will keep you going near full speed. Now if you jump like 5-10 times your gonna slow down but not after one or two. I guess I didn't notice the players jumping hurdles when they play, maybe CAUSE THEY DONT. They marely get 2 feet off the ground most of the time.

You have no idea what you're talking about.

"Tends" is incorrect. An object in motion, on this planet, invariably NEVER stays in motion. Gravity makes friction, friction resists movement. Learn what Newton's laws deal with before you quote them.

Energy and momentum are conserved when you jump and land. On the landing, it is impossible for you to have the momentum that you had when you started the jump, you, without a doubt, always lose momentum because some of it goes into the ground. Your movement is converted into [gravitational] potential energy while you're in the air. On the way down/the landing, that potential energy is spent on compression, thermal exchange, and even wind resistance.

In other words: You have no where near your original velocity when you land compared to when you jumped.

That is the physics side. Imagine landing from a four foot drop with 20+ pounds of equipment. Your body would need time to recover from the strain and balance itself.

            solace wrote..

but you do not, and cannot come to a full stop from a jump.

You are incorrect. It depends on the jump (the momentum before the jump), but earth has such a large mass that it can and does stop objects even with a momentum parallel to itself. It also has gravity which causes a strong pull downward, which also slows down movement. This, in turn, causes kinetic energy (movement) to point somewhere between the ground and the air in front of you, not parallel to the ground.
rofl, i know a kid that oddly enough paid attention in sci\physics class.

I was bored mainly cause i know most of the stuff, got a B cause i did no homework. maybe next year will be interesting.

            now for my personel opinion.

I realy don't care about the jumping, i never cared about the jumping that much, my playing style was such that it toke me about 1 day to adapt, what i hated were the changes to pistol accuracy. And guess what? I got my pistol skills back somewhat. Mainly with the usp but i can do a bit with the glock, i can do the old pull out the pistol to finish em off trick, is fun. rember joining a server in midgame, so it was me, my glock and $800 vs assault rifles. funny thing was i managed to get one guy with my glock, he never noticed where it was coming from, then i turned around and ran into a guy with an mp5 and got shot and killed. And then the "l337" guy i'd just killed called me a lucky newb.

I only have a small time for posting so this is why all my comments are together.

I Think That Change Is Always Good In Any Competitive Arena, In Order to Try And Keep It A Level Playing Ground For All. The Amount Of Cheating Has To Be The Most Important Issue For Change. Some Players Have Moaned About The Jumping In 1.4, But I Never Felt That it Affected My Play At All. I Don't Think That We Will Lose Players Because Of Change.

IN CS 1.4 i drastically changed my way of playing ... before i was a deagle jumping HS-striking badass ... now i just use knive-awp change for faster firerate and i shoot them all down while doing the soo complicated "i sit on my fatass and wait in the corners".

picture this: 10% of the CS community left after 1.4 was launched (FACT) and 10% = 1.5milion gamers.

A lot of maps are unplayable:

example: Italy as being a AK rusher whore those Cts stand no chance of surviving a team rush. Guess what? now they gonna change Italy map ... pretty stupid if you ask me ... IT WAS one of the most enjoyable maps at earlier beta's where speed and jumping was important at some choke points

you call jumping then being slowed down drasticly realistic??

if they dont change jumping or walking they should atleast change the headshot boxes back to the way they were before.

There's My Point Exactly. If The Game were To stay The Same, There Would Be The Same Players, Doing The Same Thing, On The Same Maps, With The Same Result. Change The Game Subtley, And The Players Will Have To Adapt. Otherwise, Just Play Halo On The X Box. People Will Get Disinterested, But Thell Be Back.

The two games to be first released are: a role-playing game named Solders and Operations a multi-player first person shooter that uses the Unreal engine. These decent quality looking games will be free! The Army admits to the games being recruiting tools and will be just giving them away in game magazines and on-line. The CNN artcle also says that this is just year two of the seven year project, so there will be more on the way. You can pre-order your free games and just check out the game previews here. Stylez: The point is that he already gets "realistic teamplay" with CS 1.4. He's not the one leaving, you are.

Now I don't think CS is realistic, but neither are DoD or Rogue Spear. Realism is 100% totally realistic, fantasy is EVERYTHING else. No game will ever be able to be totally realistic, that is why it's on a computer.
Uhm, rizzuh first thing here.... realism is what accurately depitcs reality.... second thing.... objects that are in motion do TEND to stay in motion.... it doesn't mean they're going to keep going forever at the same speed (there ARE other factors at work.. as you said) but they DON'T come to a screeching halt.... if you ran with 40 or 50 lbs of equipment on your personage, then jumped.. You'd probably fall forward flat on your face if you tried to stop after jumping.... the -REALISTIC- method would have been to add a slight slowdown when the player lands from a jump.. and then allow him to pick up speed again.... Yes, this might tire out the person doing the running & jumping... but its a game, and its supposed to be fun (which it AIN'T anymore).....

I don't want to hear this bullshit about how it isn't going to be changed back, because I couldnt give a flying fuck anymore... SoF 2 is the game CS SHOULD be... and (at the moment anyways) its a whole assload more fun than CS, I haven't even ran hl.exe since a couple weeks after 1.4 came out.... I'm considering uninstalling it. Cs just sucks now, its boring... I fall asleep in my chair when I play. I'm all for ballance in a game... but what they did just eliminated too many options (talking about all the changes, not just jumping) in how you play..... maybe they should just make some bots that all behave predictably in the same manner instead, that way you don't have a couple people that are jumping around.. a couple people that sneak around, and a couple people that are run & gun.... variance between your opponents is what makes MP games more fun than SP games (SP games get REALLY predictable very quickly - MP games take a bit longer). Yeah, okay.. so every post I make is long... sue me.

Rizzuh, do us all a favor.... you know that take a penny leave a penny thing at the nearest ghandi mart? take a few pennies.... you need to get some common sense smacked into you..... Hell, 1/2 the people here need a bit.

I have a beef with forums in general, not just this one, but ESPECIALLY this one. If you have no life (like me) and actually read all the posts you'll find that it's all the same...all of it. Blah blah 1.4 jumping, how the hell do u do this, isn't RZe the greatest?!?, I'm a 12 yo CS expert_listen to me Blah. Oh yes, I'm doing now too, bitching to no end. Well, NO LONGER!

I am proposing a revolutionary tactic to eliminate all Forum futility and establish once again, a Fun Forum Frezi. Yes follow this simple steps to revitalise this dreary dactivity (excuse the misalliteration).

STEP 1 - Read what ppl post b4 you. Complete, don't REPEAT!

STEP 2 - Think about what u gotta say. How will it contribute to the greater whole? Consider posting a Knock-Knock joke or instructions on assembling IKEA furniture instead.

STEP 3 - Read what u write b4 posting. Don't worry, that hot can of beer and old mac&cheese dinner ain't going anywhere.

STEP 4 - Perform and CSNAKV or in normal terms, a CSN Ass Kissing Verification. If you should find some salad tossing potential, DELETE that. BOOM! You should know that Rze knows that we all know he knows CSN is gr8.

STEP 5 - Click the post comment button. How sweet it is.

That's it, the 5 step plan to better posting. No witty end comment. Peace.
