OGC 9 Stopped

I read somewhere that if you use the nividia refresh fix it detects that as a cheat. This is just a rumour so don't take it as fact, but it might be worth checking out. I use the following new refresh fix without problems: www.nvrt.net Also cheating-death apparently gets detected as a cheat, but I'm sure you would have tried disabling that.

I have an ATI 64mb ddr vivo and I do use a refresh rate for it since Im on win2k and cant stand 60hz. But Im still not sure if that is it because one of my other guys who was kicked at the same time as me has windows me and doesn't use a refresh rate fix at all.... so the search continues... Im so disapointed...

hey, i don't have any of these programs and i have windows 98. i kept getting kicked from awesome servers cuz it says i have a cheat detected but i never downloaded anything!! so what the hell do i do??? what can i get to find or search my hard drive for this anonymous cheat??

I'm so desperate because every server is kicking me so help me please?!?!?

Cockzilla, I like you have not dloaded any cheats and also not even a week ago I installed win2k. In IRC you can search for OGC by typing " //echo -at $findfile(c:\,*ogc*,0,amsg $1-) " but if nobody but you has access to your comp and you never dloaded anycheats I guess that doesnt really matter. If you do try this and get like 5 files returned check to make sure their just smlogcfg.dll files... they are not ogc they are simply log cfg files. but put log and cfg together and you get logcfg and if you notice ogc is in the middle.. anyway I'll still refresh this page every 5 mins till erik johnson or rizz can tell me exactly what I have done to upset vac

Even rebooting doesn't seem to fix many of the servers having the problem of dropping all its players for cheating... Several admins are still saying that even after restarting it will kick anyone who tries to play, saying they cheat... So to those people, we've been telling them to just put it into insecure mode until valve's testing period is complete. Not to mean that it isn't successful: but there appears to be something that it is looking for and happens to find in everyone. If I'm mistaken, maybe someone else can come into our channels and explain to the 150+ people who have come in, just in the last 5-6 hours, b*tching about not being able to play in any server, or how all their players are getting dropped... Cause when I try to explain it, I get my f*kin head bit off.

OGC source code is public... which was the first big mistake; now it's easy for anyone to use it and edit it... and easier for Valve to get the job done

PS: $5 to anyone that compiles an OGC distro that wipes out someones HD upon loading...

You dont need to the source to detect it. People think sources are the holy grail to things. They are very informative dont get me wrong. About making a OGC that would wipe out someones HD... hmmmmm... 5 bucks isnt worth the trouble. :)

I know this is ramdom, but WTF. I just got the new AOL and Yahoo Messengers and now I go to servers, and they kick me for haveing a "cheat". WTF! I'm now worried that I might be banned from my clan server(we are a non-cheating). I only want to know if others have had this problem. Upon read the above post, here Win XP
