Gaming online is about community. It would be false to suggest that people who write cheats are tearing apart a community... cheats are one of the reasons people are getting together... Look at UnitedAdmins, which by the way, is a great example of people taking charge of something they care about.



The fact is that OGC didn't kill people... people with OGC killed people. Cheat coders are a small part of the bigger picture, and ultimately, part of the reason CS players have community in the first place.

Also one other thing, DaveJ and David Johnston confuse me. Instead of being DaveJ why don't you change it or add something else to it? When I registered my screenname back in 1995 on AOL Gpig was already taken(that fucker needs to die) so I added a 20. Sadly, it is pointed out to me on a way too frequent basis that adding a number isn't "original". If you find another Gpig20 I shall eat my shoe. Also, I know David Johnston made dust, dust2, and cbble(I have to suffer through that map on my favorite servers just because I like the server, thanks...) but I always thought DaveJ and David Johnston were the same person so now I've gotten it confused on who did what.

Amen to that, a necessary evil if you will. The truly sad part about not just games, but life in general, is that there will always be complete assholes out there trying to ruin the experience for you. This is why we need a dedicated team of organized assasins to kill anyone who breaks any form of law. Such as littering. Die you littering bastards. Die. :)



Anyhow, these recent updates to VAC show one very important thing; VALVe is not giving up on its dirt old game. Because as long as there is $$$$ to be made off HL, god damnit, VALVe cares.

I agree there is money to be made on CS. CS:CZ comes out and VALVe needs to present a strong showing if they want this game to do as well as the origional game. I think in the long run they will come out on top if they dont give up.
