Do these modules get distributed automatically? if so, the server that does it should randomize sending out about 50 different versions with slight differences. that way OGC would only work on 1/50 of the servers, making it a hassle for cheaters. (the way it currently works, which to my knowledge from reading this is by checking to make sure the module is 100% exact to the current version's "working" module)

CDeath should be hired by the VAC team, since he was better then all of them and hes working outside of the game..

VAC could prove to be much better then CDeath. We shall see with 1.5...

Also one other thing, DaveJ and David Johnston confuse me. Instead of being DaveJ why don't you change it or add something else to it? When I registered my screenname back in 1995 on AOL Gpig was already taken(that fucker needs to die) so I added a 20. Sadly, it is pointed out to me on a way too frequent basis that adding a number isn't "original". If you find another Gpig20 I shall eat my shoe. Also, I know David Johnston made dust, dust2, and cbble(I have to suffer through that map on my favorite servers just because I like the server, thanks...) but I always thought DaveJ and David Johnston were the same person so now I've gotten it confused on who did what.
I did use DaveJ, but it seems too childish now. So I moved to Dave Johnston, which is far more formal, and something I prefer. But 'Dave' is still a bit mhhhh... so I prefer to use David Johnston. It makes me feel superior to the people with weird names like 'YoMoMMa' or 'Killatron2000', people who clearly can't spell their real name properly. Why should my 'internet name' differ from the real one?

Hey! Marmite is good stuff! Maybe not you, but it's good on toast.
I was forced to eat vegemite once (along with my whole class) at primary school when I was about 8, since our Australian teacher was leaving (Ms de Gow, he name was).

Vegemite is essentially marmite made out of rotton vegetables, from what I remember of the taste... still foul.

You're more British than narby and DaveJ discussing Dave Gorman while watching BBC and glancing at page 6. Good job.
I understand 'BBC', but... Dave Gorman? Page 6?

Dave Gorman had a show on the BBC that was hilarious.

Page 6 is actually a reference to a Russian newspaper. It's basically the same thing as the UK... ? I'm supposed to be an ignorant American or something.

Also, you seem to have a complex. DaveJ is a handle, David Johnston is your real name. Now your handle might not be the most original, but formalities may deserve to be passed any time you post images where the sun is a flower that smiles.

I assume you're talking about Page 3. Or any page in the case of the Daily Mirror/Sport.

The name rings a very faint broken bell in the lower left half of my brain. Maybe it was before my time (me being a youngster'n'all).

Yeah, you're probably thinking of Page 3 - the place all the stinking tabloids use to place images of scantily clad (or even not clothed at all) women. I don't read tabloids - I can make news up by myself. I stick to broadsheets like The Guardian and The Observer. Something worth reading - something that won't hold back the 'US declares war on UK' headline to page 12 in favour of telling us that one member of Big Brother once fell over and grazed their knee in front of someone who looked a bit like the Queen if she was a man.
Also, you seem to have a complex [Nah - D]. DaveJ is a handle [it is my killing name hahahaha i am teh killa of all cs playars - D], David Johnston is your real name [I concur - D]. Now your handle might not be the most original [Certainly not anymore - D], but formalities may deserve to be passed any time you post images where the sun is a flower that smiles.
It's not a flower, it's clearly a sun with a very evil expression on its face (like the one from Teletubbies). It's EVIL I tell you. That man is killing sheep and the sun is on his side!

Algorithms and Data Structures revision really is getting to me... but at least I can tell you how to build a depth-first spanning tree to find articulation points in a networked graph, and its performance (O(V^2)).

Unfortunate that you had a bad childhood experience - but the vegimite / foreign marmite is supposed to be inferior to the British Marmite.

No.. not the daily mirror. That's just got sensasionalist crap (Re: point 300 typefaces on the front page: HE IS GAY!) . But the Daily Sport.. no need to talk about that..

I have plenty of revision to do.. Prolog, LISP, OS memory handling techniques.. Semaphores; O yeah, concurrent task handling anti-deadlocking algorithms. Fun.

What's with all the computer scientists on this site!? Can't you fellahs come up with a new Anti-Cheat?.. System seems to be doing his homework =) !

But let's face the sad truth. So what if VAC keeps updating, there will be hacks available for Condition Zero. But it will surely stem the cheating community.

Gaming online is about community. It would be false to suggest that people who write cheats are tearing apart a community... cheats are one of the reasons people are getting together... Look at UnitedAdmins, which by the way, is a great example of people taking charge of something they care about.

The fact is that OGC didn't kill people... people with OGC killed people. Cheat coders are a small part of the bigger picture, and ultimately, part of the reason CS players have community in the first place.
Yes, we have unscrupulous morons that have helped make it so being skilled on a server means getting banned. Playing on most servers is like something out of Harrison Bergeron due to their actions, but they made it so UA had to get together and spend their time trying to prevent their lameness. Why, if cheatmakers didn't exist, we might be able to do the unthinkable like play CS in peace. Can you even imagine that?

I regret to inform you, but that is not the way the world works. Imagining that is easy, but nothing comes without effort or sacrifice.
