This week's mailbag is up: what was it like to be a newbie in Counter-Strike? How has the game changed? Here's a good one:

Well when I first started playing and that is 6 months ago! I loved the game and I hated the game! And I didn't hate myself for being a newbie! Everyone was a newbie once! but I definitly have changed first of all I spent most of my time playing Counter-Strike and developing my skills and I sure did! I learned even today A great skill! lol I always shoot at the body! and that is WRONG! Shoot above their head! GOOD! But I am wandering of! In short! I had a superb time the first few weeks I spend my live playing Counter-Strike and I felt great being a n00b! if I where good in everything then it Wouldn't be fun playing a game anymore!

FIRST!!!!!!!!!!!!



When I was a n00b I played only on Dust Only servers, now I cant stand playing there since there is no teamplay, only people who camp. CAMP CAMP CAMP. When I finally left to find a good server, I was REALLY bad for a couple of weeks, since camping doesnt accomplish jack squat on offence in prodigy. Except maybe getting the admin to slap the hell outta you.

when i was a n00b (i started like 2-3 months ago, so i kinda still am) i played on american servers(im in australia) so i got a crappy ping of like 250+, and i normally played on this low grav server. what was funny is that the oly gund i ever buaght where the dual L337's and the auto-shotgun, and i used to own... i guess the server was full of n00bs, but at least i beat them all.

then i started playing on australian servers, and i got my ass kicked, but then i found out the mighty power of the deagle, it was like the only gun i would buy, and i owned with it, well most of the time anyway.

but now with CS 1.4 i have lost my deagle powers, not becuase of the bunny hopping thing, but becuase of the big accuracy loss when in air, which screws me over when im on a ramp or stairs....

Actually since 1.4 has come out, I am a newbie. Everyone is a newbie. It's a new version. And I described how I felt about it. If you want some stupid story of how I tried to defuse the bomb with my knife in beta 4 or something you're not getting it. :P

Mailbags always get mixed reviews, but it's not like my personality or the amount of submissions we get changes from week to week. It's weird how some people can like certain mailbags over others.

ive been playing since beta 6.1 and i still get called a n00b. i dont know, maybe i should be better by now lol. i love counter-strike!!
