Hellbilly, it just makes it a lot easier and faster to find a good server in just about any game.

Uh how come so many people use gamespy for launching games? the default launcher that is built in is way better than crappy gamespy.

I must say, I've been using ASE since its first release, and it just plain rocks. I'll likely register it over the summer, making it the second program I registered :)

The other being the old TIE Fighter Mission Builder, around 95-96. He made it free not long after that. Arrrgghhh.

Once downloaded, you get a 21 day evaluation period, as mentioned before. When this time is up, you're prompted to either pay for a registration key or say goodbye to the All-Seeing Eye. There is no ad-laden free version.
ehm.. this is not quite true. I have The All Seeing Eye, which i downloaded nearly half a year ago, and I never had any 21 day evaluation period nor i had any ads. My ASE even after updates has no ad's and no registration required even though i downloaded it from their own site! Also, i am not missing any features that are listed above if you don't register! weird..

Yes, when riz gave me the key to review it, I've seriously fallen in love with it, and have switched over from HLiT. Its just got too many features.

Oh, and you guys seem to be telling each other everything that's great about the ASE, yet the article basically covers everything, the moral...comment after you read it.

Aces of Spades has quite possibly the coolest avatar ever. ANyway I've seen stuf like this for free but most of it was unstable, hard to use, and overall shit.

There just seem to be to many free server browsers around for me to use one that I must pay for. Heck. Even kali is free now.

ASE is for multiple games. For example, I use it for SoF2 MP test and JK2. The modifiers are impossible to beat, too :)

I would also reccomend ASE, the abilty to script your own filters is just great!! Also the build in modifiers and customization makes this product a must!

I downloaded ASE when it first came out, I have never been prompted to register it, and I have always had access to all the features.

Yeah, I've had ASE for about 9 months now, and have not yet registered. In the unregistered version, you can only have 4 people in your buddy list, while you can have as many as you want in the registered. Lately, in the last month or so I've noticed that it has been taking an incredible amount of time to refresh my cs server list. I think it has gotten better, but it seemed slow for a few weeks. Other than that, I love ASE. The best thing is how it keeps trying to connect to a full server untill there is finally room- so you can sit back or do something else while you're waiting to get into your favorite server. Just my thoughts
