I get no custom models at all during Internet play, regardless of what they're named. All weps, Ts, CTs, hostages, sounds and sprays are crap standard (by comparison) default. Male hostages -- who gives a rat's ass?



The custom stuff only shows up in LAN play.



Is this just The Way It Is Now or am I missing something?

Is the anti-cheat software working already? I cant figure out what is making the game run so much worse for me.

OK, I found out what the problem was: After updating HL and CS, The All-Seeing Eye somehow got pointed to Counter-Strike in the Steam beta directory, NOT to Half-Life\cstrike. This explains why it tried to download maps I already had installed but it didn't see. All-Seeing, indeed -- now it can't even find my two favorite servers.



Oh well, never mind. (But thanks for all the responses I'm sure you were busy carefully composing!)
