Download CS Beta 5.2 and forget these new releases. They aren't terrible they just aren't really CS anymore.

not everyones PCs can handle great models... first of this is why CS' sucess continues... slower PCs can handle it better than a game for say using the Quake 3 engine..

Puffycloud, I liked the comment about you not using the AK because you feel it is too powerful (I use it anyway, but mostly because it is a challenge to use to it's full abilities)

I am curious though, do you use the DE? I find it is so unbalanced it makes pistol rounds worthless.

dude i much prefer a mirror that just brings up the "Save to" box compared to being sent to some german site i have to dig around in before i can find the damn download

Um? That's exactly what we're going to do, and you'll freaking love it. You can thank me when you're getting a good download on maybe your sixth or seventh try as opposed to going to another site, going to the correct file page, checking the four mirrors on this site, finding they are all full, clicking back 4 times, and repeating the process over and over.



These mirrors are mirroring the binary. I don't care about giving some HTML page free hits because someone decided to be a mirror. They can act like most sites (us) and simply write "content" and "news" to "earn" visitors, not just have a fat pipe and instantly get a thousand ad views.



Most sites, I find, are perfectly content with this idea. They're trying to serve the community, not get hits. We thank them for their selflessness and we totally understand how precious bandwidth is. The game, though, is more important. Most people on IRC and ICQ pimp the links directly to the download, and not an HTML page.
