My modem is 56.6 but my phone line really sux.... My average ping in cs 1.3 is 400, thats not fun but i still can get nice stats... How about cs 1.4 am i going 2 b able 2 play as well..with my phone line (28.8)

Heres a flame: One more bad thing added to the allready improperly implemented voice-comm.... Now muting people who just won't shut up for five minutes mutes their text too? I'm all for seeing voice-messages, they don't affect my gameplay... but hearing someone go on and on about what they think we should be doing (which is %90 of the time wrong) while playing (which cuts the game volume in 1/2 - meaning its harder to hear people (enemies) coming in your direction) Is just pointless.... If your gonna give advice on a server using voice-comm, be sure you actually KNOW what your doing... and camping IS a viable strategy, theres just almost never a good reason to do it... they really shouldn't adjust any accuracies in the game.... all the weapons, EVERYTHING is perfect in 1.3 ( except for the voice-com ) but I'm not gonna get into that.. maybe they actually found a way to make the game better.. but it just doesn't seem like these adjustments will really improve it any....



Yeah, okay.. maybe this was an unjustified "flame".. and I didnt read all the posts in this thread (hell.. theres 3 pages of them now). But I need to get my quips off with what I'm reading somewhere... and this looks as good a place as any... I just wish everyone, everywhere would take a second before they do anything and think... "Should I be doing this? What benefits does anyone gain from it? Are they worth it?"

Why not have special mirrors for members only of csnation.com? Like for people who have signed up before the release as some sort of reward for your members? or you could use it as a skeem to get more people too sign up? but i like my first idea, personally i dont think valve would do anything to make the game worse so wahoo! but seriously, members only mirrors, thats where its at!

I realize they're taking away and changing a lot.

much like the time the colt lost it's zoom, the time they changed the deagle and it started to lock up...ect

this jumping thing worries me, because i jump a lot, i don't bunny hop but i do jump a lot!

i used hearing the enemies send their automated messages like GO,GO,GO as an edge on them, but now that's also gone!

i know this is prolly dumb, and probably over stated. but something i would like to see in 1.5 or so is:

1) The VIP having a better gun or more ammo. 24 bullets aint a lot of stopping power, and teams rarely work together.



2)the option to buy a scope or a silencer for the colt. Back in the day when it had a scope, it was so damn awesome.

ive been playin CS since beta 7.1... my fav version is 1.1... why you ask? Strafe Jumping (aka REAL bunny hopping) was possible =) yes i know im a whore
