Feh, just caught that on the 12pm (et) showing... newbie tactics anyways, I figured most of that out within the first few months of playing CS (like 2 years ago)... he didnt say anything about moving silently in small games, rushing to get an early foothold on a map, or flanking to get behind the enemy lines, and put them in a crossfire... I suppose nothing replaces practice and experience though.. a few basic tips like that really don't help anyone... I've always pictured thresh as an avid Deathmatcher anyways.

Watch some of his old Quake 1 demos then, you'd be surprised. Despite the well-earned negative connotations that DM players have today, Thresh is a very keen, very smart player regardless of the game he's playing. Always has been. DM wasn't always a dirty word. Doom2, for instance, was balls-out speed DM, yet the ingenuity and thought that it took to be good at it is still pretty impressive even by todays standards.



TechTV has never been especially big on gaming outside of Extended Play and that goes double for ScreenSavers. That's probably the main reason why this feature seemed so weak.
