X3 is a great clan, and I don't see how losing a few close matches to the best American clans around means that they're "losing it" or "in a slump". The fact is that X3 has been on top for quite a while, so these other clans have something to shoot for (beating them) while I imagine for the X3 guys the motivation to constantly play more and more CS is hard to come by. Maybe somebody else will come out on top in the end, but it won't be caused by X3 getting crappy, it will be because the other teams are all getting a lot tougher.



And as for X3 inspiring pride in Americans as a representative of our country ... emm... don't think so. I love Porter but it's not really a patriotic thing. Don't think they're cocky just cause they are getting sick of so much CS.

Proud of NiP ? I was hoping that GoL would go all the way in the cpl wc, but hey hats of for NiP who won it, just wondering of the ignorance ppl calling x3 worlds no1 (clue: most of my comment was about that, not american/euro trash talk or NiP pride).

And no i dont know any of the NiP guys personally, just played with them on public way back and chatting with them there.



Anyway, after reading the comments here, i must say that many of the feelings towards x3 could easily be shared by alot of swedes about NiP. Just curious 'bout how the talk is over the big blue about things like this in the north american cs scene.

I, as a proud American, still think X3 is the best. The official CPL records to state they are number one. I think X3 is just in a slump and will gain their confidence and skill back when they get the motivation. After losing to NiP in the Winter, I think their motivation dropped and they lost to all of these other clans because they were unsatisfied with their performance at CPL Winter Championship. By time summer comes, I will be in Dallas, TX seeing X3 dominate.

Why are all of you talking about Nation pride?? if there is one thing that Internet gaming has taught us, it is that there are no barriers. To say that one country is better than another is completely false. As gamers we must realize that he who has the fastest reflexes and steadiest hand will ultimately be better. I believe that every younger generation will be better suited to play games, due to the age that they are introduced.



Secondly, i think X3 has given the gaming community the boost it needed. Think about it, how much about Professional gaming did you hear BEFORE X3. I can't think of any. If X3 has given us anything, it has given us the chance to see what we can do, and accomplish as gamers. People try to understand why X3 isn't winning, it's because other gamers (maybe even better gamers) have seen what X3 has done and have motivated themselves to be the best of the best. Again, we should go by the motto "There are always people out there better than us", if we go by that maybe many clans "expectations" to win will turn into humble, respectable, matches where players learn and have fun. As it should be.



Third, in defense of X3 and their "so called" non-sportsmanlike conduct (i say 'so called' because I've never actually seen any, I'm just speculating that it occurs); the clan is the first of its kind that i can think of. Over time the teams will develop and mature and hopefully grow into more respectable, professional, teams. To say that their just money-grubbing idiots is stupid. they are a PROFESSIONAL clan (i.e. do their hobby for MONEY). Therefore, i would say they are totally able to want to play for money.



Finally, to say that Bunny hopping is completely stupid and that all who use it are "l053r5" and "n00b5", is utterly idiotic. If the point of this game was the pursuit of total realism, many other aspects would've already been changed. BUT THEY HAVE'NT, because this game pursues realism and fast-paced action to keep the player on the edge of their seat but still make it an immersive experience. Frankly, i don't care either way, i think all the clans will adjust to the new style or die out. Whatever doesn't kill you, makes you stronger. It's Entertainment Darwinism.



That's my comment on the subject.
