Hahahaha, OGC has fallen to the awesome skill of the Cheating-Death programmers who put a lot fo sweat and blood into C-D. Although I don't like downloading C-D all over and over again, I think it really kept out those hackers as well as wannabe hackers too. Good Job Cheating-Death programmers!!!

How’s this for anti-cheat,
I rent a server from www.ilangame.com and what they do is if a myg0t bastard hacks or crashes the server they go to the logs and then they go to their ISP. They have already had a few ISPs stop subscriptions on a few myg0t players.
Nice, take away their connections, only limited amount of broadband ability and if they cant have that Id like to see them try and cheat on a 56gey connection! heh, they will be limited to only a few playable servers and not to mention their cheats are worthless against lag spikes and flush packet warnings! lol
edit* by the way, myg0t people have some major issues... if you ever read their forums you would see what I mean. They are extreamly racist and their atitudes are totaly negative. They even flame eachother all the time. They are, how should I put it, scum, worthless, shit, garbage, low lives, and on top of that they are HaXoRz!Comment

Awww comon. I see a lot of people exaggerate the number of cheaters. I can't help thinking you guys suck at CS :/ "Ooow, he has 30-6. CheeaTER! LAMERR!!11" etc...
I play on a lot of different (Danish) servers, but it's been months since I saw a cheat. This is in great part due to the anti cheat community, and their work. Cheat makers say a lot of things on their sites. A great deal of this is simply pep talk and bullsh|t to demoralize the opposition. So take it with a grain of salt, dear sirs. Right now, CS is full of vitality. Virtually cheatfree with lots of experienced players (if you can't find a server with csguard, maintained properly you must live on antartica).
These are good times. Hope you see that.Comment

ghetto mose is right, why not post the WONID's of peple who cheat, then ban them from all servers?
cos without WON autentication u can not play.
it makes no sense why valve do not have a program built in, that when connected to the net logs all the WON Id's that r banned.Comment

All i have to say, hackers don't have a life, thats why they spend hours and days trying to hack which probably make them feel better about them self that did they did something cool. Well all they do is ruined the fun in multiplayer games because they got no life and try to piss people off. There will be always hacker even if valve new software 1.4 comes out w/it anti cheat those smart ass no life hackers will spend days getting into it and successfully creating more hacks. Those OGC creators probably realize no point in hacking anymore if there going to be anti hack associates dedicated to stopping them and they probably told them self that they needed life and went out for a few drinks, who knows.Comment

also if wot that dude said earlier about C-D messing with ur aim (maybe) even if u don't cheat. Dusn't that mean that C-d is a pile of shit. Also the major cheat makers are probably a far way ahead with their cheat technology but they r just not releasing it. Never thort of that one hey n00bs who think cheating is dead. Wot about the cheats that wer being sold, i bet they wer really kik ass, and since only one person cud have it, ther was no way of knowing wot it was. OGC is down, but cheats + cheatmakers live on.Comment

I think perhaps the argument between whether csguard or cheating-death should get credit for OGC's demise must be clarified. While CD has played an enormous role currently (after OGC 7 I think), we must not forget how CSG instilled fear in earlier versions. CSG effectively detected aimbots, wallhacks, and all the other crap that hackers use. It was only recently that CSG became decreasingly useful as OGC was made incredibly difficult to detect. That was when the change from CSG to CD was made. On many servers CSG and CD are used effectively, with CSG detecting and banning and CD blocking and rendering newer cheats useless.
As to other anti-cheat programs, I feel that PunkBuster was an early, but only mediocre attempt. Paladin had promise.. but I hardly saw its usage. TSC, Cagara, Jedi were also minimally effective releases.
However, ALL anti-cheaters must be congratulated. It truly is a rare experience playing with honest, skilled cs players and having a great time. Perhaps in 1.4 there will be no more trash talk about hacking and other bs. Despite this, I have already seen someone allegedly using OGC 7.4 in 1.4 Beta but that's another topic.Comment
