Yea because everyone knows all the D2 players are legit. Those 5 million 1.8 windforces floating around out there sure aren't dupes. EQ is one of the few legit games out there, major sploits are patched within a day, and anyone caught hacking is banned. And being banned from EQ acually means something. Bye bye to your char and account key. But this wouldn't work in non MMORPG type games. The best we can hope for is STEAM to do its job.

. hopefully csguard will have a new version out soon.....it seems a lot mroe servers depend on csguard rather than cheating death. jsut think, the anti-cheat guys just have to keep this "everytime a new cheat comes out, counter it with our own stuff" stuff until1.4 (hopefully) when this "revolutionary new anti-cheat software will com out...

This is becoming a race. A new cheat comes out that defeats the older versions of anti-cheat and then a new anti-cheat comes out that obliterates the cheat. Repeat.

Just lock the client side and make sure no modifications can happen. That will stop 90% of the cheaters including Ogc and that other stuff.
*wonders why System has tried to hack the main code of CD and render it useless* oh well, whatever, hopefully Valve locks the client side or that Stream auto-bans by IP or WonID.Comment

As long as Im able to use the RZE script I will be fine with what ever they do.. locking the client side would disallow instalation of buy scripts right? Maybe if they implamented somthing like Rizzuh's buy script right into the cs menu system. It sux not having it.Comment

Cant wait for CS1.4 to come out witch active anti-cheat. I so look forward to again congratulate a player with "great shot" or similar. Knowing that it was his or hers superb skillz, not some auto aimbot with wall hacks and enemy radar!
Until then I hope CD and CSguard keep up their efforts, since 2 is better than one. Not being much of a programmer, but surly it must be harder to make a cheat that has to avoid/overcome 2 or more anti-cheat programs than one.
I think Valve should should sponsor the good anti-cheat makers, sue the shit out the cheat makers and we should all go and buy CS-zero to show our support!Comment

Even valve comes out with an impassable anti-cheat (not likely =P) no matter how you look at it people will still say there are hackers out there and will still accuse people of hacking. The CS community is permanently damaged and can never recover.Comment
