Our very well received Gun Running sub-section has been updated with its second half (go here if you've already read the first four pages). What's Gun Running? Half-Pint and I discuss the pros and cons of the various CS weaponry and equipment. Here's a tidbit from the new stuff:

UMP .45

rizzuh: People have owned me with the UMP, but it's always luck or something. Usually they find me off guard. You shouldn't rely on the state of your enemy to be able to kill them. When someone is running at you full auto and you're counting shee-- err, firing your crappy UMP, you'll regret wasting your money.

Well said. However, you forgot to count in Para-sniping. That's always a fun pastime. If you're bored.



BTW, does the M4 silencer really reduce accuracy? I thought it increased accuracy because it reduced recoil.

Yep, it makes the rounds less powerful and accurate (says the source code). With the silencer on the rifle, it seems more "calm", thus the perceived accuracy.

Yes the silencer slows the bullet down,thus making it less powerful.Real world snipers when using silencers usually opt for a bigger caliber bullet for this reason.
