This does suck. Although Gearbox has a history of putting games out on time, the trend of pushing back release dates to continue working on titles, made famous by Blizzard, has become epidemic in the industry. While I'm highly disappointed, I'm not incredibly surprised.

what i dont get is people thinking that cs 1.6 [bold]HAS[/bold] to be the one that introduces all the CZ updates. A couple of months ago 1.5 was the supposed "update" but instead we got a new demo player and anitcheat. 1.6 isnt set in stone here guys, its not like there wont be updates between now and march 2003. JEEZZUSS

Wow no shit. I said it was delayed a few weeks ago but no one listens. Gamespot aka Software has inside links and finds everything out faster. Gamespot had the delay listed July 17th



I predict December/January 2004 with a VERY outdated engine which will cause the downfall of CS.

I believe CS:CZ has entered the same basket as TF2. Personally, I show no sorrow. Valve needs to make something thats NEW and UP TO DATE. I understand that Gearbox is behind most of the work, but COME ON, the quake 2 engine can not stand up to large areas like Wolfenstein, and Valve is too worried about "anti-cheats" to make any real progress on anything. You CAN NOT stop every cheat, but you CAN make a new game. After 3 years of CS and 4 years of the same old game, its time to move on. Want to get rid of hackers off CS? then make a new game, they'll flock to that. The next patch better have the quake 3 engine :)

good point. the engine is 5 years old. I now have decided that cs sucks, because:

(a)bad graphics

(b)slow gameplay

(c)bad graphics.



for the love of god, just kill cs now. It seems thats all valve/gearbox want to do.

You know that my little brother has had TF2 on preorder for about 3 years now. I can easily see the same thing happening to CS:CZ. Its pretty fucking stupid that they have to keep delaying this. If they were to actually work instead of sitting on their asses playing the games they might actually be able to get some fucking work done.



I bet their worth ethics are shit. They probably spent all day "testing" their games instead of finshing them. If this is true, I wouldnt blame them. Hell they get paid to play but they really need to stop fucking around.
