The Cyberathlete Professional League has accounced that they'll be using Counter-Strike: Condition Zero for their Summer Championship.
The five-day CPL Summer Championship event will take place Saturday, July 13 to Wednesday, July 17, 2002 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, in downtown Dallas, Texas.They'll also be doing a DoD event and a TFC BYOC event. More Condition Zero info.
The primary tournament game will be Counter-Strike: Condition Zero, currently being co-developed by Gearbox Software and Valve, LLC. Condition Zero extends the award-winning Counter-Strike multiplayer game with new maps and weapons, while simultaneously introducing new technologies, an extensive single player campaign, and cooperative play.
Condition Zero will include the latest version of the number-one online action game, Counter-Strike, which will be updated to include some of the weapons, characters, scenarios and technology developed for Condition Zero. Total cash prizes for the tournament will be $100,000. Complete tournament rules will be released March 15, 2002.
