Lose the SBlive (or audigy) and lose the plantronics headsets!!
Get yourself a second hand Aureal card (with A3D II) and a Sennheiser HD580 (or HD600 if you got too much money), and you'll
never want anything else.
With the right configuration you can hear someone 50 meters away who makes one loud step, and know EXACTLY where he is.
Some people can win battles without seeing anyone, just with A3D sound. (players are invisible) Try that with your sblive. Thrust me...there's a HUGE difference. Too bad Aureal is out of business so get them second hand. And without a REALLY good headset it is only a slight difference.Comment

I have to PC's - one has an Aureal II card (MX300) the other has a SB Live card (Live Platinum 5.1). I much prefer the SB Live card over the Aureal card! But that's just my personal opinion!Comment

Ummm, I haven't upgraded my comp in long time, and i haven't had to time look at what sound cards are good. So if anyone could tell me a good sound card for under $150, that would be cool. (I know most good ones wont be under that, but i don't have a lot of money to spend :P )Comment
