The Black Plague's Counter-Strike Website has taken the time to scribe a Strategy Guide of their own. You might already know all there is to know about CS if you are a regular at CSN, but check out the guide anyway just to refresh your memory.

Lazor, i agree with you. I think there are plenty. But as new ones get written, we will post them here so that newbies who are new to cs, who havent seen the millions of the already existing guides, will have an easy place to start.
For every 1 person that likes/needs a certain bit of news, theres 5 others that dont.Comment

I really don't use the guides I think the best thing for you to learn how to get to the next level is experience and trust me DAMN GOOD PING Because basically thats all it is....IS PING. But of course if you really want to become 3l33t just cheat/hack I know I do. And the hardest part about cheating is having to withstand all the little b*tches out there complaining but thats all ..... other than that it's downhill. Thanx!!!Comment

Your post is a just a big contradiction... you claim that the best way to "get to the next level" is experience, but you also claim that good (low, presumably) ping and cheating also help. The only thing that makes sense here is the experience bit.
First, lets look at ping. As I have stated in a previous post (a while ago), low ping really doesn't help that much. In fact, a high ping can actually help a lot more. First, your player model is skipping around a lot especially if you're dropping lots of packets. Second, you have the ability (through kinks in the network code) to decide someone's fate before they can even see you and intervene.
Now, how is cheating a better alternative to reading the guides and learning? Cheating gets you nothing, its usually so obvious that all you'll get is permanantly banned off of a lot of servers. You won't be gaining experience.. you'll be gaining a false sense of reality. What happens when all of your precious cheats are wiped out? Then you've got nothing.
And what was the point of all of this? To get the MOST FRAGS?!?! Perhaps that isn't the point of counter-strike. The fun in the game is the teamwork and cooperation, and the achievement of goals. The fun is trying to take out some goon at long range with a silenced rifle while you're taking heavy fire... the fun is the uncertainty. By cheating, you're ruining not only the fun for others, but the fun for yourself.
In closing, you're a fag.Comment

if you are a 400 pinger then you shouldnt really be trying to play cs online. if you cant play well because you have the worlds shittiest internet connection, that doesnt mean you should cheat. It means you play against bots, or get a better internet connection. Of course the only thing that can stop you from cheating is the programming of anti-cheats. Telling cheaters how much they suck is pointless because they already know it, and just dont care. So if you choose to cheat, enjoy it while you can because as soon as CS 1.4 comes out, you will have to either get used to dying, or not play online. How soon new cheats are out there after 1.4 is released will depend on how good a job Valve does with their new anti-cheat tactics.
Personally I just play on servers where either I have rcon or im playing with someone I know who does. If we see a cheater we just kick em, no big deal. Doesnt ruin our day.
If your ping is under 300, you can beat people with a ping of 50. Just coz someone's ping is 50 doesnt mean they can aim or that they know how to be stealth or properly cover certain areas of a map. And when two people are equal in skill, a ping difference of 150ms doesn't add up to that many kills, especially considering the netcode. If you resort to blaming ping to your poor score, you are simply admitting you really are no good.like me a 50 pinger with cheats/hacks then your really in trouble because then you have to prepare to get owned
when all is said and done, and your sorry ass has been kicked from the server, who really got owned?Comment

You almost had me fooled for a second there I thought you were going to make a point ......... You were doing so good up until the last sentence but what do you expect from someone who gets owned by cheaters/hakcers it's expected. Now for the funny partIn fact, a high ping can actually help a lot more. First, your player model is skipping around a lot especially if you're dropping lots of packets. Second, you have the ability (through kinks in the network code) to decide someone's fate before they can even see you and intervene.
Now that is just pure comical genius..... please don't bullsh*t a bullsh*iter but if you say what you said up there enough times maybe you will believe it. but your a funny guy. You also should say when you shoot and have a high ping the bullets don't actually leave your gun for about a half-second later. But you should know that because I have a feeling your a high pinger.Comment

ahaaahh xander your ignorance abounds. you unwittingly spill forth more and more INCORRECT information with everything you claim to know.
Do you know what "PREDICTION" is?
A very high ping causes the netcode to PREDICT that someone with a much lower ping is going to be at a particular place at a particular time. Sudden changes in movement actually TRICK the prediction sometimes and causes a HIGH pinger to see someone where they really ARENT for a split second. A VERY common example of this is a high pinger sniping and a low pinger approaching a corner. If the low pinger stops JUST BEFORE rounding the corner, the high pinger might actually see the low pinger appear to have rounded the corner because the netcode was PREDICTING he would keep running. It doesnt take long for the netcode to realize that he stopped before rounding the corner and the high pinger will see the low pinger disappear. HOWEVER, since the high pinger's computer really thought the low pinger was in view and had been shot, the high pinger's computer registers the kill and that is sent up to the server. Instead of the server telling the high pinger's computer that the kill wasnt legitamate, it allows the kill and the low pinger, in a fit of cussing and frothing at the mouth, dies, without ever ACTUALLY going into view of the high pinger. Many people wonder why they are getting hit by bullets long after they have rounded a corner, supposedly out of view of the shooter, as if the bullets turned the corner and followed them. Thats the netcode. Thats a high pinger hitting you. THATS YOU BEING WRONG XANDER. YOU ARE WRONG. YOU LOSE. GOODBYE.Comment

Mr. Rottencrotch sir ...... what you said was senseable but you should go back to school and learn something called mathematics because when you say difference of 150ms do you mean between 300 ping and 50 ping I think the difference is 250ms instead ofIf your ping is under 300, you can beat people with a ping of 50. Just coz someone's ping is 50 doesnt mean they can aim or that they know how to be stealth or properly cover certain areas of a map. And when two people are equal in skill, a ping difference of 150ms doesn't add up to that many kills, especially considering the netcode
But anyways ..... yeah maybe sometimes I do get kicked from a server but thats like after 71-6 and owning for about an hour maybe more but by that time the guys you play with start to get boring then you just go to a different server no biggie. But I am pretty sure when you and your buddies are playing on the same server then some cheater/hacker comes on you guys get owned for about 10 rounds but when all is said and done you guys kick the guy who is cheating or you kick the guy who is beating your ass who doesn't have cheats but you guys don't care either way you guys get owned.Comment
