Well the book looks like it was well thought out (page layout from what I have seen). I think there is some sort of weirdness going on surrounding CS where it's either free or costs 19.95.



If I had the time or resources I would have loved to put together a counter-strike 2D book. I have no reason to dig future press though, heck they even gave me a map for use on my site.



From what I've seen, buy the book if you like the printed word and want to read about strategies. But to pimp my own site. If you want to draw your own your still going to need Counter-Strike 2D.

I don't bother with CS2D anymore. I just bust out the graph paper (I do level design, so it kinda requires that anyway) and draw my own. It's easier than going into Photoshop and drawing lines for line of sight and stuff.

Yes but shouldn't the authors go for the opinions of the better players?Lets use NBA as an example. Ok Lakers beat Bulls 99 to 98 (im making this up)Wouldnt you be pissed if ppl went for the opinions of the Bulls instead of the Lakers? Why not let NiP share their opinions since they are the (so far) best clan in the world?

Let's use ur example of the Lakers vs. Bulls.. 99-98. Ya, the news programs interview the Lakers and get their reactions.. All is happy, blah blah blah.. But they also ask the losers for their opinions. You can't tell me you've never seen the losing team being interviewed. So there ya go..



Also, I believe (don't quote me on this one) that the book was created for the use of the United States. again, I'm not 100% sure, but I just think that. Now you tell me.. would you want a book made by a clan that ISN'T from the United States? I mean really, NiP beat X3 by 1 round, so they're pretty even in skill. So just go for the eXtreme 3 that is from the "Native Land" and it may sell more.

It doesn't matter whos perspective they took. They had to take someones so they took X3. If they took more than one clans perspective the book would be huge and besides they probably had to pay X3 and one other group would cost more.
