I don't usually post comments about any of the news items, but I had to say something about this strategy guide.



If you have $20 to burn and/or are a complete n00b to CS, then this guide amy be for you. But as a Beta 3 vet, I don't feel this guide really has anything to offer experienced CS players. Sure, if you just bought CS a month or 2 ago, it may be nice. CS though, (the one on the Quake2 engine) is soon coming to an end. Before you know it, we will all be playing CS2 on the new TF or HL2 engine Valve is working so hard on. I feel it is a little to late to release a strategy guide on CS. There are plenty of FREE, online CS guides jsut waiting to be read all over the net. I reccomend trying those first. This is just a few peoples last attempt to make a buck on the slowly dying CS era.

Heavy Assault - you say you're new and you've been playign since Beat 5? I've been playing since Beta 6.5 and a lot of people consider me old-school... Anyone who's played since beta 7 came out (unless they have cheated since the beginning and want to go straight) shouldn't need this guide.



Whoever asked WTF a "canuck" is is an idiot. A "canuck" is a Canadian, you know, someone from the northern land of theRoyal Canadian Mounted Police (AKA the "Mounties"). I may not be Canadian, but anyone who enjoys hockey (ie: everyone in the world who likes football -either the good 'ol American version or the wonderful sport of soccer-, rugby, or boxing) whould know what that term means. They are also called "Canadians," "Hockey Hoosiers" (misspelling? I've always wondered aout that one...), and "Our Friendly Neighbors To The North" (well, at least the English-speakers - those Frenchie bastards don't know jack shit...).
