Yep Uriel that would get NiP to the top. So would ranking by prize money won which is another idea although both of them will reward the clans who play in the most tournies which in itself could be deemed unfair. In particular I would expect X3 to ask for their two 1st places (CPL Invitational and CAL event at the CPL Anniversary bash) to be considered as well.
A more traditional way to produce rankings where the importance of a tournament is considered is to award points for each event depending on the events importance and split this up between the participants. If you award "the number of clans beaten" as the number of points each clan gets in each event you get the following equally controversial result:
1 SK (GER) 7 Tournaments
2 SoA.dk (DK) 6 Tournaments
3 NiP (SWE) 5 Tournaments
4 DoP (US) 3 Tournaments
5 AT (FRA) 4 Tournaments
6 X3 (US) 2 Tournaments
7 TAU (US) 3 Tournaments
Which is clearly affected by the greater number of European events and by sponsorship deals that some clans have achieved.Comment
