Its not really "extra nice" for the canadians just because 40,000 USD equals 60,000+ Canadian Dollars. The definition, indeed purpose, of exchange rates would be to make it "just as nice", but Americans just might be dumb enough to migrate to canada when they hear they can earn 1.5 times as much there.

Actually, UN has voted Canada the best country to live in for some years. It's probably because of their health care, which is a little bit better than in the US :)

If the UN is voting on things about "the best places to live" then it's not like I respect their opinion, anyway. Canada is a fine country. Obvious problems are The French Connection and the education system which ranks 50% and below as failing. As I understand it, it's actually easier to pass Canadian high schools, but maybe their scoring system is entirely weird. d0nk3y said 90-100 is A+, 80-89 is A, etc

france has their own nuclear pact. it says that france will only use their nuclear bombs if a nation [germany] attacks them. it was made after wwii.



france may have been crushed in wwii, but they did a damn good job in wwi. ya, they are lucky that canada was able to help get them out of nazi occupation when the canadians took normandy (on american landing craft). but the people of the french resistance were some of the more courageous people in modern history. right up there with the old characters like leonidas (go sparta).
