yah, so if you change your models or sprotes and then watch a demo, those new models and sprotes will be in the demo. then you could change settings, watch same demo with different stuff again.



zex seemed more mature than rs, although they did end up winning.

I bet most kiddies that go to this page are worried that zEx will soon be better than 3D, so they have to be all childish and call the 2nd place team (in my opinion anyways) cheaters.



Also, someone said something about "zEx lost to some cal-m team in a lan", so what? cal-i clans don't just appear from absolutely no where. there could have been a number of reasons for that happening. take a moment to think.

last time I checked, zEx has yet to lose a respectable game on lan. at the WCG Qual they only lost to F^ and W.E.W the entire tournament. How is that sucking? At CPL they went 2-2, with their only 2 loses being to very respectable teams (/me goes to check who again). Many teams have gone 2-2 at the last 2 CPL that were power houses on lan and online, including TAU, GB, 3D, d6, ect... With the kind of logic you guys have, you basically saying whoever loses a goodteam vs goodteam lan match must hack. WAKE UP! Someone has to lose a match, both teams cant win it. No matter who it is, people always come out in hoards claiming they are h4x. *sigh*

My comment I have here is that zEx constantly wins their division in CAL-I, what 2 straight seasons, yet can't beat WEW and Forsaken on LAN? Good clans online should beat mid-level CAL-I ones on LAN. WEW is well-known but didn't even make the playoffs for CAL-I, Forsaken is still in CAL-M, nothing against either but a 2 time CAL-I semi-finalist should be putting up better fights and this isn't just WCG USA but look back to CPL as well.



With all that said, zEx is most likely legit since it's pretty hard to cover your actions with 100's of people watching you on HLTV, but I think they need to seriously look at how they prepare for LAN play. If they want to be considered a serious clan at major LAN events they need to prepare better cause what they are doing now is just raising questions about their own play.



Let me also add for the person at the top who said he knew a lot of CAL-I clans that cheat, you are a newb. The number of cheaters in CAL-I is VERY slim. The ones that do are at a VERY high risk of being caught. With the number of HLTV viewers and demos taken, it's very hard to get away with it. Most cheaters are caught in CAL-M as they try to get into CAL-I.



As for how many people in CAL-I who use configs or special commands, no clue on that, but how much can that really help? According to Valve on SoGamed, most of the known commands are worthless when used online anyway. These people are very skilled and most skilled players, esp at this level often confused for hackers. When a good CAL-I level player gets into a zone, or whatever you want to call it, they can often be just as good as any hack out there. Trust me this exists and happens almost every CAL-I night, just watch the HLTV and you will see it first hand. I reported CAL-I for almost two seasons and when most big clans got upset, there was a player on the other team who was in such a zone or was later caught for hacking. ;p

I don't think people are trying to claim that zEx is terrible online or anything, just that there happen to be many more "what the...?" moments online. You know, where the seeminly impossible happens on a regular basis. Honestly, we have no way of knowing whether any team cheats or not. How hard would it be for someone to have a friend tune in to the HLTV coverage, and keep them up-to-date on the positions of other players? And nobody spectating would ever know the difference, other than that the player just seemed... aware.



I'm not about to claim that I have reason to believe that any clans are doing stuff like this. However, it wouldn't really surprise me, people being the way they are. In the end, though, the real respect doesn't come from online play, but rather LAN events. Any way you look at it, when it really matters, we can be sure there's a completely level playing field at LAN events to determine the world champs.



There is one form of "cheating" that I have noticed even by some players at the CPL, and by "cheating" I mean having a specific advantage over all other players. What is this cheat? I'll give you a clue... the top three teams at the CPL Summer event all had players utilizing this specific advantage.

Let's look at a few things here. zEx hardly ever lans. Their locations are too spread out. W.E.W. is incredibly strong on LAN. Online they get ping raped and they have had quite a bit of practice on LAN. Forsaken pretty much LANs everyday. Clans like Rival and Eminence do not LAN very often hence why zEx can beat them online AND on lan.

I was going to say, thre should be a delay but I read the post sayin there was one.. Soin which case it is impossible, However.. If a player was precognitive, would that count as being a cheat? And are there drug tests at these things? If so what would be a performance enhancing drug? ANd where can I get some??
