Can we read the the info before we flame it? I believe it says "a" primary weapon slot. This COULD mean we get two primary weapons. Say a T plants the bomb. You go gun him down with a Fumas. You then whip out the shield and begin to defuse. Wallah -rifles to half dmg and smgs do none. The shield is obviously going to act as a wall.... Where the only one shot kill is a HS...

This technique could have a paticularly popular use in the last rounds of a match

Yes, both sides have done wrong, but look at it this way:



Palestenians go after women and children and Israelis don't. If a terrorist sniper is hiding behind a woman I'm sure they'd fire but they don't target women and children on purpose and the Palestenians do.

So does that mean I can head shot the guy now by hitting the window?

yes bullets probably do go through the window. Also with the shield its going to be a primary weapon slot correct? correct me if im wrong tho, you can still use a deagle then say when the deagle runs out of bullets rip out your shield and it will protect you if your getting double teamed or something.

Actually, I would tend to argue that the FireArms team actually makes an effort to have all of their weapons balanced and somewhat useful. I say this because there are more than four weapons in FireArms that have the stopping power to kill something on a regular basis.



Now as for that whole Israeli/Palestine thingy. There is so much propaganda involved on BOTH sides it is hard make heads or tails of anything. All you people are busting on the 5-7. I have used it just for the heck of it against AKs at long range and ended up the winner. It takes skill to use to most accurate pistol in the game. Don't believe me, why not play a few rounds with only the 5-7 and see. You can take on rifles, subs, and even the all powerful awp (which is another subject all together).



As for the FAMAS having a three round burst, the MP5 should have been selectable fire from the start. If you feel like trying out burst fire before the FAMAS comes out just right yourself a little burst fire script. Right now the one I have does 3 round bursts on all subs and 2 round on all rifles and pistols except for the deagle. It take some getting use to and some skill because you can't go in guns blazin' and expect to kill everyone. You might actually have to rely on your teammates. Which would be a new idea for most if not all of the people out there.



These changes might be a good thing, well except for the shield idea. New weapons are always good. They only negative I see is once again nothing has been done to make the awp more realistic and I am going to need to rewrite my buy script.

*Will it limit the view in any way while looking through the window?

*Blood get stuck on the window? (I don't suppose so)

*Window breakable?

*Shield droppable (but not pickupable)?

*Maybe add as default for the VIP in those maps.

*Shield looks big, will get stuck in small passages when you crouch? Or can't you crouch with it?

OK we disagree on various points and Id like to set you straight about a couple of things. Firstly, We solved our terror problem, by giving the political wing of the IRA (Sinn Fein) a fair and equal say In the governing of Northern Ireland. I wonder which items they will add in the next update....., perhaps the M60? *hopes* :). Its strange though; there aren't actually that many weapons to add after these three (since the LAWs excluded) so it might be that 1.7 is the one that synchs with CZ? Also, is there any sort of release date for this upgrade (Feb 1 2003 is too far away, heck, Nov 1 2002 is too far away for me! ).
