They would have to make it as powerfull as the deagle to make it worth buying over a USP. That's not going to happen.

FAMAS is definitely welcome (CTs are lacking in a mid-price range rifle). Not sure if too many people will use the Galil if it's too inferior to the AK but I think 1.6 will push the balance in general back towards the CTs (which puts it about dead centre/center). Of course, that's just my opinion and I'm sure I'll get shot down for it
and the famas is a welcome addition.... why dont we talk about the other guns added in 1.6 instead of bitching and moaning about the shield.
.
Quick Question - will the models for the new weapons be the high-poly CZ ones or CS defaults? Because they might look out-of-place with the other models in the game.
Also, who else would like to see the GUI upgrade soon?

yeah but working as a team this could be deadly. imagine three shields lined up with awps on either side. like a roman phalanx. deadly. rad.
Just bear in mind it is balanced. You can only fire with the shield lowered. When you shoot, you're vunerable, when the shield is raised you cannot shoot.Comment

This is the same guy who has concluded from 4 screen shots that the new aztec's gameplay has been tottaly ruined.

Don't expect any logical thought process from this idiot.
Uhm, no it isnt. lol thats the point, your new design sucks, and you should be shot in the face for bringing it upon the world.
Edit: I want to pee in your mouth.Comment

LOL
It'll bolster team communication with such important teammate interactions like "Try buying an actual weapon next round, fuckhead" and "Hey, i think you were more useful when you were flashbanging us".
The truth right there.
The movement with the shield will most likely be amazingly slow, as if you yourself hold a heavy, bulletproof shield in front of you, you will be unable to move your legs far enough forward to create "speed"...it would be the equivalent to wearing ankle cuffs. And then your shield is simply delaying the inevitable, only to lead you to the death chatroom where everyone will swear you down for delaying the round end. Oh, the fun.
Of course, you could definitely make a decent jog with the shield if equipped with solid, high-impact shin guards, available from www.Amazon.com!Comment

This is the problem. The weapons we already have are unbalanced and for the most part, unused, at least in clan matches. Throwing an ill-placed shield and five seven into a game dominated by assault rifles has little use whatsoever. Maybe if the small weapons were used more than 3 rounds this might have a use in CS, along with all the other small weapons besides the Deagle, USP. and MP5.
They would have to make it as powerfull as the deagle to make it worth buying over a USP. That's not going to happen.
Now lets just throw in some more high powered weapons and see what happens.Comment

So the shield is effective at stopping the weapons that few people use now anyway because they are underpowered compared to the all-powerful AK, M4A1 and the AWM. Also, it and the new cheaper FAMAS rifle for the cts means that Ts are probably gonna get even more screwed on DE maps.
On the server I play, so few people even bother to play on the assaulting teams anymore. Now they are giving CT defenders an extra advantage against cash-poor losing T teams. The problem is that the maps weren't made with this stuff in mind. If you add smoke and gas grenades, then you're going to have to reconfigure the maps to balance them or restrict the weapons. Frankly, I am sick of only seeing M4, AK and AWM. I try to use SMGs (esp. MP5, TMP, P90) and the M3 but how often do you see someone use the M3 anymore?Comment
