CS 1.6: Shield, FAMAS, Galil

..can you block knife attacks with the shield?..or pick up a shield (with or with out the 5-7) from a dead CT? too bad the 5-7 round is so underpowered in CS.



i doubt the new weapons will end the domination of the assault rifles. they are the best weapons for the most used tactic on public servers: assaulting.

Well if the shield stops 9mm and buck-shot then I'm sure a sharp knife will not be able to do very much at all to it other than scratching off a bit of the paint.

It will be great if you can reload the 5-7 and use the shield at the same time.

Hmmmmmm, lets sum up the updates:



Galil: Upgraded AK-47 by the Israelis - pretty much the same as the AK but more accurate (its gonna piss off people with Galil skins for their AK though). The FN FAL or G3 would have been better choices here.



FA MAS: French bullpup rifle - Like the AUG but without the optical sight, only a 25 round mag (why can't the French just make a STANAG compatible system?), and a reputation as good as the British sa80 (L85A1). Yep, you lucky CTs. Like some previous peeps have said, the G36 would have been better.



Shield: w00t!!!!! A relevant tool ACTUALLY used by real CT teams. If only people stopped playing CS like Quake and use tactics (like tic tacs, but the other way round) it might work. In other words, it won't. 10/10 for the thought though.



Still, the new Aztec looks the dog's *doffs hat in Narby's general direction* and I'm sure the new weapons will keep peeps entertained until the m60 appears and everyone changes their name to John Rambo and goes ape on every map.



The machete will be fine when it arrives though............

Rizzuh, you should make it somehow so that when you "mark" a comment, it'll carry over to the next page so you can read through all the comments and quote the ones you want when you get to the end of it. I was gonna comment on several people to mock them and tell them how stupid they are, but my marks dissappeared on the last page and I'm too lazy to go back and find them again. :-P

Soooo.... yeah, if you're feeling lonely and need something to pass the time with, maybe give it a shot coding something to fix this? :-D

Seriously, though, I'm glad to see some of those CZ weapons being integrated into CS. It might bring back some of the older players and it will hopefully give the game a jolt.
