Yeah, you could lock them and yourself into the bathroom by placing them in front of the door and the only way for the CTs to get in is to have a high powered weapon shoot through the door adn kill thhe hostages. Cheap but amusing sometimes. I agree with chicho and cyberknite, maybe one or two maps with vehicles only so all the maps aren't changed for them (I don't want to be playing de_dust map with an APC rolling into bomb site 2).



Oh yeah, I miss CS-Crossfire, as well. (7)



Although we had our disagreemenst, that map sounds like fun, Ghengis. Any place I could get it off the net?

I really miss the pre-netcode days, when it actually paid to have a good connection. You always had to shoot right infront of a moving person. I think that took a lot of skill out of the game.

i miss the pre-retail CS. it required a tiny bit of effort on the part of the user. you had to find, download and install it correctly. this relatively low barrier to entry kept the pre-teen AOL h4xzorz at bay. i miss being able to move the hostages (how did the T's kidnap them if they can't be moved?)as a T or take the hostages down and up ladders a a CT. i remember when flash-bangs did damage and went bang! i vaguely remember them causing a temp. loss of hearing. i don't miss the old L337 model with the mullet though.

hey i got an idea, awp leg shots are not lethal. i propose awp ARM shots should be non-lethal as well. hurt like hell of course tho...

Ah that mailbag brought back some memories.

I miss moving hostages around as a terrorist. People could never quite seem to grasp the concept that hostages can be "used" through doors and walls, so they'd forever be stuck in a battle of wits and muscle between them, the door and the hostage.

I also really miss the APC in siege. I'm trying to remember where I once used it as a strategic element, but thinking hurts and Im lazy, so I just recall driving it into the terrorist garage, parking it beside the Jeep adjacent to the entrance and watching it sink into the floor and disappear in a hilarious fasion, usually killing most of my teammates inside. Ahhh... moving while planting was fun, but I can't say I miss it too much, it takes a lot more skill and teamwork to plant while glued to the floor.

Moving plants make sense, I mean, what difference will four feet make if the explosion kills people who aren't even near it? Moving plant + lowgravity = funny stuff. I remember this one time I was playing prodigy on a low gravity server. I jumped up into the vent and made my way to the bombsite, shooting ppl in the back who were camping in there waiting for the T's to get to CT spawn. So I get to the bombsite, I start to plant, and I run out of the room and plant the bomb on top of the pipes adjacent to the booth thing. It was awesmoe, I died, they had like, 3 ppl running around the bomb site looking for it, and they never found it. Good stuff. No one ever looks up.
