I have to say, I don't often play CS anymore, its just got boring. Back in the old days it used to be fun to wait for the next update, now its just stale and it has not moved on alot since V1.0 came out.
Not to promote another game but in many aspects DOD is a better game as that seems to have dedicated persons who keep evolving the game (it looks pretty damn nice to).
If this June 2003 is the new date, I can see this as been a nail in its coffin, there are bigger and better games coming out and aren't repeatedly been delayed.

I think we'll know when CS is dead when the CPL move the focus to a new game... I remember the uproar (?) and excitement (!) when the switch was made from Q3A to CS...Comment

Yeah, I wonder what your grade is in Spanish class. Learning another language is hard and so is living in countries that don't offer as much success as America does. It's not that they don't want to learn, it's just difficult to. Ask a spanish speaker how easy it was to learn English coming from a spanish speaking country. Just accept the fact that people that speak another language are just like you and I.
And to not stray too much off topic. I can't wait for CS:CZ hopefully the wait will make it that much better.

the funniest experience I've had in DoD was being a machine gunner. I would go prone and set up at a bottleneck, and then wait. A group of guys will come through, and I'd mow down the first few. The remaining bunch throw nades at me, and I panic. I start to press movement buttons at random, but to no avail, and then the nade blows up. The funny part is that it happened 5 times in a rowComment

Sorcerer, you should try firearms, sure, they got a CRAPLOAD of 12 year old admins that faint when you say "shit" and probally ban you afterwords. And even the FAMAS toting whores tend to piss me off. But if you can find a good game without whores and a child admin then the game is great. Very very good.
More into detail on that admin issue, I got kicked for saying the word "Punk". Yep, I shit you not. So, we can play a violent demoralizing game that depicts loss of life, but we can't handle the likes of "shit, f***" etc? Since when do you get shot with ANY GUN and go... wow, I feel like playing chess! (Or some other retarded off-topic phrase)

And onto DOD. I used to like this game, but something is very fishy about it. I have this feeling ALOT of them are using newbie bright colored models, because if you payed attention for more then 1.5 nanoseconds you'd realise the camo in that game is VERY VERY good. And I ask, how do these people pull off shots from a good 1/4th the map away when I am sitting in a dark corner, prone? Yea. I smell some ass.

DOD is a good game, but CS isn't going anywhere any time soon. When it's not being played by hundreds of thousands of players, we'll know it's time to move on.
Hell, a friend and I often play us 2 vs 8 Bots on my server. It's fun, and thats what gaming is about. FUN. CS:CZ having slightly worse graphics than Generic-Quake-Clone VIII isn't going to stop us playing it, and cursing when the bots shoot us down for the 4th round in a row.

This is where CS:CZ will really be tested. If the gameplay and replayability is as good as CS already is, then it will be a huge success, no matter what the graphics look like. Honestly, I think the community is largely what holds CS together, and for a SP element that won't be there as much, making it less successful. However, if they can come up with some way in which CS:CZ makes our normal CS experience better (options for better textures or whatever) then I can imagine it being hugely successful. Doubt that will happen, unfortunately, but many of us will still buy it just to play around with.Comment
