That's not true. Romans were actually very open to other cultures beliefs and teachings. When they 'conquered' somewhere they wouldn't ridicule the local teachings and beliefs, they would instead accept it into their beliefs. rizzuh did mention this date was just guidance - it only takes a single peon at Gamestop to enter a little number into a database, whether it be publisher-backed or not. Lets have a look at some other release dates from other sites:



Game - First Quarter 2003

Amazon - 1st March 2003

EB - 1st May 2003

GameStop - 2nd June 2003

(most others just have TBA)



None of them are any more correct than the others! Who knows, CZ could be in our hands come January. There just is no solid date yet. If there was, surely all the dates listed by the above sites would be the same since they all have contacts with the publisher.

I dont think CZ is going to happen now. If it does and it flops I hope whoever is responsible pays the price because allowing it to be so late and therefore not being able to cash in on CS's popularity is pretty faulking stupid.



Wasnt there something about a version of CS for the Xbox. Maybe that has something to do with the delay. For sure there's something were noit being told, its not just playability tweaking going on, there something more afoot!!

The first, second, and even the third release dates were still during CS' peak of popularity, it's not anymore, not with all these other games coming out. Let's be real here guys, CS is three years old. Even though they change it often it is still three years old and it won't last forever, I once though as CZ as adding to the CS frenzy but now the most we could hope for is starting another rush for people to play CS. Just my take on the matter.

If 1.6 will be released much sooner than CZ hits the shelves its a pretty good bet that CZ sales will be far lower than if it was released concurrently with the patch. Moreso if CS gets more CZ weapons in later CS upadtes before CZ is released. People are less likely to pay for the new features if they will eventually be incorporated into the free CS patches anyway...



Of course this doesn't account for the single player campaign, but there are certainly enough current players that have stated they would only stick to multiplayer ayway.

BTW, is that an American date? As in, is it 6th February, or 2nd June? If it's the June, then 1.8 would seem more likely, but if it's February then 1.7 would be the way to go.
