So we are supposed to write 60 page essays on why we like it or else we are dumbasses.. Man I did not know that... THANKS MOUTH
Would've been nice to hear their thoughts on their lamerriffic methods of playing. Other than that, it was a nice rudimentary glimpse at the CS environment over there.
Nothing takes the fun out of an interesting article like seeing people jizz over it as though they'd give it a Pulitzer. I guess the jizz somehow makes up for not being coherent enogh to give any reason WHY you liked it. This is what happens when the most complicated and thought provoking book you've ever read is "Everybody Poops".
OMG! Wad or fold? MORAL DILEMMA! Do not pat his back with shitty hands! Unsanitary!Comment

It's funny how people dislike flimsy, pulled-out-of-your-ass bashes, but LIKE any flimsy, pulled-out-of-your-ass compliment despite the lack of difference in worth. If you're really so gushingly fond of it, go the direct route and just give him a handjob; I'm sure he'd find it more indicative of your sentiments than farting out the same vapid support EVERY FUCKING TIME. I've seen fortune cookie messages that were more encouraging. Earn your bullshit.
60 pages, or something that doesn't amount to "OMB, someone typed an article that was actually legible! This person is obviously gifted, for unlike me, he seems to be able to communicate by means other than slapping his penis on the keyboard to paraphrase what my magic 8-ball just said! This makes it the best article to be posted here...since the LAST one!".
You know, whichever is easier. Don't pull anything.Comment

Okay ... the part about the 16000 to everyone is not true, at least in the case of the cafe where I was playing. You could only give yourself 16000 by typing something or another in the console, I can't remember what. Second, I hear what you're saying about LANs here, but it's really much more apparent there than here. Have you bumped into teams that are all AWM, camping T spawn on Havana? Finally, the mention that he was Turkish has nothing to do with his abilities in running the network. Rather, I was trying to reinforce the idea that the workforce is largely comprised of foreigners, a point i make earlier in the essay.
Thanks for the comments, and I hope this clears up some of your quibbles.

That must be one strange server if it allows you to give yourself 16000 :)

And I must say I haven't run in to teams like that
Thanks for clearing my points up, otherwise it was a very nice article.Comment

I am a local of the United Arab Emirates, and to be honest with you, I
feel like your post has been very offensive indeed. You have been to
al ain, which is a small isolated city in the UAE, and you judged the whole of the UAE by what you saw in that little Gaming cafe. Im appalled by the way you stereotype people. I do agree that most of the guys in that network were very stupid and simply ran around shooting, and that they look into screens, but that is completely not the case in Dubai, which is the biggest city in the UAE. If you were to come here, and go to one of the better Gaming Cafes, no map other than the official maps are ever played, and the objectives are followed very precisely, such as planting the bomb and rescueing hostages. That is very basic stuff.

Please give that site a visit, and check out the LG Cyber Cup competition at the top right hand corner, and then the CS qualifiers. That is a very big LG-sponsored tournament (prizes woth $10,000) that took part in the UAE just over 6 months ago, and beleive me some of those games ought to be posted on Sogamed.com (I was in Fk, which reached the semi-final but couldnt quite win)... In fact, Strategy-wise, although we might be slightly (and I MEAN slightly) behind you westeners, its easy to see that we are doing very well and can beat a lot of good USA clans and other European clans. Enough said... if you ever pay our country a visit again, just make sure you go to Dubai, and check out the Gamin cafe called "games network cafe" located behind City Center mall, which is the biggest mall in the country. I might sound like im advertisin for the place, but trust me... REAL cs goes on in there, with proper Teamwork and good discipline, and with hardly anyone running around shooting like a maniac (and now that many AWM whores either).
Cya, gl with your studies...
