Uh, do you have some rash that only occurs when you play cs 1.5? I didn't think so. So in the meantime while your waiting, why not just play cs like it is? Besides that fact, would you rather have a 1.6 that is rushed off the production line and isn't the best that it can be? Or would you rather have a 1.6 that maybe took an extra month to be released, but is the best it can be?

oh, and are we all done with cs 1.5 already? it's only been a couple of months; do we think that it's old now? most of us probably enjoy 1.5 anyway, so no rush to 1.6. same thing would happen to 1.6 if we were expecting 1.7, huh?Comment

no they thought it might come out then. Maybe they hit some sort of crazy bug that deletes CS when you use 1.6. Hmmmm, and i think the cs community would be just fine with out you.Comment

Er, some people seem to be...really angry about this. They curse at Valve, spit at them, call them stupid, and then run off and play CS. Look, these people BROUGHT you this game, it's their darned right to delay the release as much as they want. It is kind of dissapointing that it's been delayed, but it's nice to know that more time is going to be spent for a higher-quality product. Not to mention, sometimes it's hard to remember that Valve is made up of people...and people are imperfect. So yeah. Lay off. :PComment

What the hell are "ratings"? Who the hell cares what the public thinks about a game being delayed, in net it will be less backlash than an unplayable BETA version (even though it's BETA) that has a fifth the design doc implemented.
Version 1.3 was delayed for an entire Summer and then a week because of 9/11. Version 1.4 was never "delayed," but it had a fourteen year BETA period. Version 1.5 BETA, the test version, has been delayed a month and probably more.
CRY ME A RIVER.
It's as if you want the buggy version to have more bugs than it needs to have. It's better to delay the product and fix all known bugs so they don't get fourty thousand 'L:OLOL TIMER SUX FIX IT OKEY' posts on their forums.Comment

I'm looking forward to the movement to steam only. I think with a single auto updating distributive platform we can look forward to a much fairer playing field in league play, and better anti cheats in public play. I can wait till December, I don't get my new system till x-mas anyway. I guess I'll go play CS 1.5!Comment
