You know, after lamenting on this delay, I have come to two revelations:



I am slowly, but surely drifting away from Counter-Strike. Although this has nothing to do with the delay, I'm almost positive two or three new weapons and some new features will not exactly spark my love for CS once again. You've all had the feeling when you first played CS, no matter what BETA or version. "This is SO awesome, I get to buy ALL these guns." "Yeah, look at these awesome Half-Life powered graphics" "ROFL I JUST HEADSHOTTED THAT GUY WITH MY FAVORITE GUN TEH MAC!!!" Now it's just "ROFL LOOK AT THAT!!! I... you know... shot that guy with the only 3 guns in the game that work..... yeah... fun times, shootin that guy..." "COOL LOOK AT THAT!!! I... just got headshot again... for the 1000th time... fun..." And its not just because I'm an (modestly) average CS player, it is because I'm not a complete nub anymore. I mean think about it, the only time you actually had pure, unadulterated fun was when you were a complete nub. The CS "Arsenal" was actually useful to you, and it was actually fun to use all the guns. Oh yeah all of that and CS IS GETTING MIGHTY OLD. But just like millions of drug addicts, we will keep playing because we are all addicted, myself included. Damn you Gooseman, damn you.



My second revelation is this:



Gene Roddenberry was 100 times the visionary George Lucas is. Need proof, watch Star Wars ep. 1 and 2 back-to-back. If you're still not convinced, we can debate it in #Spoonman on Gamesnet.

if we wanted the beta to be perfect then there would be no need for it, if there was no bugs, theres no point in releasing a beta. So why the hell are they waiting another month to get rid of the bugs?!?!?! which are basically a requirement in betas.
