It's hardly fair to ask people to not use any sophisticated or clever humor simply because people who don't read the language as well won't understand them. I know I certainly would have no right to complain about, say, a french website having jokes I didn't understand about America, when I'm trying to use babelfish to translate it. :)

May be I just cann't completely understand that "clever joke" :p because I live in country where English isn't a common language. May be I just cann't see any humor in that joke because we have different sense of humor. And you can see that I am not alone...

But I think rizzuh can feel sorry for poor non-english speaking "Euro" and his time, keyboard, electronic dictionaries and put smile or single word "joke" at the and of the message, right? :) :)

now thats the problem - you are too much involved in other people's problems. Your country also seems to be involved not only in Global issues but other problems like other countries' relations... and that happened all the time.

I think its the exact opposite. Our country always seems to be involved with world wide problems and issues such as the war on terrorism. As of last time i checked the Europeans wont even support us in waging war against Saddam. You also claim "Europeans do live together, seperate from americans anyway". If we are so seperate why is europe constantly attempting to mimic our culture and "americanize" your lifestyles?

LOL this is the country where 90% of the population couldn't place Iraq on a world map? The US government only wants to be involved globally when the terms suit it. Remember the Kyoto environmental summit?



If I remember rightly, European governments were in favour of arms inspectors going back into Iraq - a much better proposition than the loss of innocent lives (yes, funnily enough, Iraqi civilians are people too).



As for the Iraqi regime, yes it's brutal, but it wouldn't exactly do the US any good to kill someone who has started co-operating with them. Also, before the Gulf War I do remember the US selling Iraq quite a few bits of military hardware - wouldn't be the first time you've propped up oppressive regimes, eh boys?



As for 'Americanization', as you put it, that is more due to large US companies exerting their influence on the global marketplace rather than any wish for us to be like you (obese and resource-wasting).



Generally though, most Americans are nice people - it's just some of the more ignorant ones that give you guys a bad name.

First of all, me thinks that you europeans and non-USians (except canadians, 'cause they're all basically 51st Staters) should relax.
