Halflife.org has posted an new article regarding the success of Counter-Strike in terms of the online community. "C-Strike Success" focuses mainly on the different groups of people involved in the CS community, such as hardcore players, server admins, etc. Here's a tidbit:
Basically I think there are four groups of people a game must satisfy in order to maintain a longer interest from the community; the Average Joes, the hardcore players, the server administrators, and the coders. And I am not talking about professionals here, just the people from the online action gaming community.
