CPL: 3D Takes Gold

Well, I suppose I haven't officially said it, so I'll chime in another "well done 3D" comment. :) Amazing stuff, that's all there is to it. GoL did pretty decently as well, but I think they wouldn't have fared well in many if any additional rounds, were this allowed to continue past 13 wins.



Now I can sit back and breathe easy, knowing that the next European kid who comes along claiming that Americans suck at CS will quickly get smacked down. :)

And about them "throwing the match"...they were in a USP vs. AK situation, they really can't do anything too much in their standard positions so they need the funky strats they were using. AKA Save rounds.

I'm still laughing at eoL. That's what happens when you go in to a game thinking you're cal-i in an OGL match.

eoL is still a very talented team. I don't know if they were simply outplayed by zEx (who did a great job), or maybe they had their own problems. eoL wasn't looking as sharp as they have in other matches, so it just makes me wonder if something was up with them mentally, or what. Either way, zEx > eoL and thats all thats all that matters.

And the even funnier thing is, GoL > zEx would've been possible if the zEx guy didn't crash during climbing up the ladder on nuke.



The bug that was suppose to not exist in the CPL this time around. Hope valve fixes that one come 1.6 it is really starting to get annoying. I'm sure zEx was pissed off considering it was the difference of thousands of dollars.



Finals should've been 3D and zEx.

BEST TEAM IN THE WORLD ROFL

Rizzuh let me remind u that the WCG offers a much better view of who the greatest in the world are (as 3D got their asses kicked by everyone throughout the championship) and, strangely enough, the best teams of the WCG couldn't come to the CPL for financial reasons. Some examples are GG, aAa, M19 and many others that deserve credit. So please, before having delusions of grandeure for your country "3D has now proven itself as the best team in the world. After some troubling first steps, the baby has learned to sprint.

" study your subject a bit. Please say something like '3D dominated this tournament' (which they didnt) as the CPL is a problematic tournament because few teams can attend it for financial reasons (in the WCG teams are paid the plain tickets and hotels etc.) As is, gg to 3D.

yeah, obviously the CPL couldn't have been really a good and fair tourney, seeing as 3D won. God they won, that's that, gg blah blah blah. don't jump out the window because americans won dammit.

Sorry, its just... probably bush and all his crap, I'm amazed theyr actually smart enough to beat a good team :/

I suppose I'm a bit pissed off because the CPL isn't very welcoming to people from other countries than the US (that's easy to see with the many US teams and few foreign teams). It should be more open like the WCG was.

Yeah, certainly isn't very welcoming to say, Swedish teams, right? Certainly it's a big conspiracy, and somehow the president of the USA is involved in making 3D win, which they shouldn't have been able to do, becase all Americans are ignorant pigs who carry six-shooters and run around beaches all day long while feasting off the backs of the underprivledged nations of the world.

The CPL did hold 2 qualifiers in Europe, one in the UK and one somewhere on the continent(?). That was very "welcoming" of them.

3D did dominate the tournament you dumbass. They never had a single real challange. The dust2 finals was close, but not that close.

In response to Dangki: yes, two qualifiers for all of europe which is how many countries? More than 20. Compare that to the number of american clans present, and you can see the difference.

And in response to mikej: as I said before, 3D played amazing. I'm simply denouncing the fact that Rizzuh went up and said theyr the best in the world, because they only played so few of the best in the world...
